    Fear the Brick
Of cours they have to coach pitching.  More so if the kid didn't run it in high school.  Let's pretend that you guys actually played football.

Yeah, the bagging on our staff is cute and all (and sometimes justified), but some of the criticism is just piling on.  Of course, I don't know how much is legit and how much is just ksufans being ksufans.

it was just the way it was worded. of course if a drop back-ish QB has to all of a sudden start running the option, the nuances of reading the force, pitch relationship, timiing, etc have to be ironed out.  it's just funny.  maybe Snyds shouldn't be forcing the option on a guy like Schwinn Coffman when he isn't suited for it....if it's such an expansive, all encompassing playbook then flip to the part where the slow white guy doesn't have to get to the edge.

Yup, I hope that Coffman isn't going to be getting his number called near as much as Ell - and rightfully so. I hope that it's an occasional option supplemented with Kassanavoid sometimes coming in or Thomas at the Wildcat to change it up. That's what I hope at least.

However, the Jeff Sch-lose Marshall game is relevant as it was an example of our gameplan not changing at all in lieu of a crapty, slow white guy coming in for a talented dual threat.

I'm not fooled by this tactic, the guys wanting the job from Coffman are the ones who Snyder is teaching to run the option, CC is just the one they can allow to be injured at his point.   Kass will rock that backfield come gameday.

1st sensible thing I've heard.  Well 23rd thing, but not in this thread, or today, this month, this year or..... :scared:

Is it just me or do any of you get a sense of at least this staff knows what their doing as opposed to the last bunch.  I mean some of prince caoches were good, in the NFL, but could they teach fundamentals?  Once your in the NFL you should know those.  I really feel this group will get more out of less as opposed to Prince who got less with ugh less.

No bunny ears anyway. :ksu:

Yeah, this isn't hard to figure out.  Its pretty clear no matter how broad the offense can be, Snyder will continue to use the QB run game and some option as part of it.  Heck, he had Chad May running the option back in the day, so its not like he hasn't taken QBs with little mobility and had them run before.  But Snyder bought in fully to the QB run game especially with Bishop, but probably starting with Miller who had pretty good mobility and running ability as well.  That is simply not going to go away and Snyder would be dumb to build the offense around Coffman.  If anything, this should be seen as a positive sign for Cat fans.

On the flip side, what else is there to talk about on this board at the moment?

Same as it's always been.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I wish that were the case; I really do. But I really am just that pissed about the Snyder hiring. You don't seem to understand yet.

They are teaching the QB's how to read the LB's and safeties. Dumb@sses. And properly pitching a ball from either hand while reading the defense AND on the run is harder than most Playstation QB's realize. :jerkoff:
