If a NFL Pro-Bowler is having to live in his Parent's basement then this economy SUCKS.

Did the same "little birdy" tell you that K-State hired Gary Patterson?

GMAFB until you have a story posted online by a credible news/sports source.
I'd much rather have a 69 year old coach than one that weighs 400+ pounds.

Hearing "grumblings" that he got an extra year from the NCAA for hardship because he was forced to play with Dylan Meier.

You gotta feel good for the little tank. :notworthy:

Darren, you have proven that you are more then just an overhyped punt returner. Congrats on being the most accomplished NFL player to come from Kansas State!! :ksu:

I don't like it.  The window for RBs to sign a big contract are fairly small seeing as how they wear down quicker than the average player.  He now needs another big year to get a long term deal, granted this year he will get paid really well.  We'll see, but I'm not sure its the best deal.

apparently, you missed it when Terrance Newman signed his multi million $$ deal. Terrance just flicked his ash on Darren's head.

i depends if SD offers a good multi-year deal. i could see them giving him a 3-5 year deal front loaded so he makes more than what he will with the franchise tag in the first year/2 of the contract.

then again maybe not.

either way he is pretty much set.

GOCATS!!!

if you franchise a player it's only a 1 year contract.

i know.

it also gives you several months to negotiate a longer term deal.

tagging a player does not mean you cant sign him to a different contract/contract terms afterward.
