Per a friend who is interning near Minneapolis:

"I went to the mall this past weekend with some friends, and we strolled into Champs Sports.  Recognized one of the employees working - it was Andre Gilbert.  We introduced ourselves and proceeded to pick his brain on his future plans.  He told us, 'I'm figuring things out right now...probably going to go to the NBA or overseas.'"

 :blindfold:

FWIW, he didn't seem to be enjoying Minneapolis.

I definately don't think Gilbert was the best at being a funny guy.  I think Mike and Bill were by far the funniest ones but wanted Gilbert (who is horrible at everything he's ever tried) to feel like he was good at something.  And, since being a funny guy was his highest ranked event on the team (7th out of 12 participants), that's what Mike gave him.  Really just a microcosm of Mike's awesomeness imo.

    (worst non-premium poster at ksufans.com)
that time that gilbert drove the ball instead of taking the three pointer we needed was a well crafted (and perfectly executed if i may say so myself) prank by gils.  he had a sense of humor like no other and was willing to take it to the extreme like that example, as opposed to guys like mike beesly who would just talk about pranks but never pull any.  we shoulda nicknamed him NoBallzBeas or something.

anyways, tonight, when we all are drink a beers, let's drink one for our prank "champ" Gils

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.
