One consideration not yet mentioned is injuries and depth. We've dealt injuries already that has helped us develop some depth and we'll see others. We can't afford to have Nelson or Freeman go down. Losing Campbell, Watts, Murphy or Johnson would hurt badly as well.

Losing Watts would be very....meh

    The very best.
It's between Mizzou and ku.

you're crazy to call it a two-team race with 70% of the conference season remaining.

if we win this weekend, we because a gigantic threat.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

It's a prediction, we'll see.

ku gave away a home game vs. MU. How stupid does that look now?
With their schedule the next two years, even if they're better they'll never have this opportunity again.

We'll lose to Mizzou and probably OSU (or Nebraska).

ku will lose to Mizzou and at least one of CU, Texas A&M, or OSU.

Mizzou will probably lose to Texas Tech.

Mizzou is definitely the front-runner for the North. LOL @ ku fans claiming that they are. You just finished the easiest half of your schedule. Now you have some actual games to play.

EXACTLY!!! We win this weekend and we have just as much chance as ku - it is just that ku isn't stellar (their worthless) on the road in conf. and until they prove that they can muster a win on the road in conf - there is always that question. To say it is a two team race is nuts!

ku's played six games without leaving the state - the first BCS school to ever accomplish this feat.

Check your facts Steve Dave's a K-Stater.  He's merely pointing out a fact.

Sorry, but one win over K-State with six weeks to prepare doesn't erase Mangino's body of work on the road in the Big 12. Which I think we will discover in the coming weeks.

YUP and that shoots thier road record to 3-22 if I am not mistaken - so tell me again, why shouldn't we expect some kind of let down?

ku will probably win
I still can't believe they have a conference schedule that doesn't have Texas or Oklahoma in it.

...because we all know those teams are so damn good this season.  See: K-State 41, Texas 21 and/or Colorado 27, Oklahoma 24.

Thanks for your time.

After the beatdown that your team put on Colorado (47-20) what makes you think ku can't beat them?

This is why they had a bye week before KSU, without that bye, KSU probably wins. The game at Camarohead really is almost a home game.

see above

With your rational, ku should be able to beat UT (convincingly) then - right? Beemer, if you beat someone then I will have a little more respect for you gaudy record. Excluding our D- game that you all almost lost to, your wins came against teams with a combined record of 11-22... and that's including the crappy teams that they are playing against right now! Actually, I apologize - you have a lot to be proud of, you are "undefeated" and ranked 13/15 where the closest other undefeated team ahead of you is 3rd... that speaks volumes right there.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.  K-State's D-game was in large part to ku's defense.  It was also in large part to ku's offensive line dominating the line of scrimmage.  ku left points off the board and still managed to win in Manhattan pretty easily.  If a screen pass doesn't bounce off of Fields' facemask, K-State isn't even in the game.  Funny... even your own coach said ku was the better team.

Both teams left points off the board, ku's mistakes were canceled out by KSU's mistakes.  Both teams are very good, ku a little better, and the game reflected that.

Coach's don't talk up opponents.  Ever.  For reals.
Reality is that ku sucks on the road and has never done anything in this conference.  Until you do something you can expect the same reaction to the crap you spew here from every other school's message board you visit.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

If a screen pass doesn't bounce off of Fields' facemask, K-State isn't even in the game.

These "if a bad play hadn't happened for us" rationales are just plain stupid.  Any team can do that in a close game.  K-State fans could be saying "if Freeman just puts a little more air on a safe pass to Johnson right before halftime" or "if Freeman sees a wide open Johnson on a swing pass in the 3rd quarter" and so forth.  Each team is going to make some mistakes during the course of a game, its part of football, but using them as lame excuses of why you didn't win or win by more is moronic.

ku played a good game and they did control the LOS as the game went on and that is why they won.  Don't diminish that by posting stupid stuff please.

Its in Boulder, and I doubt the thin air will treat Mangina well as he waddles the sideline, your team may have to throw a few CPR plays in the mix.

Wonder if the NCAA would allow Marky to get a fat man cart to rove the sidelines with?
