Title: We Demand You Utilize Him!!
Post by: PoetWarrior on October 19, 2009, 10:01:07 AM
Catdom:

We were all pleased with the win saturday. It was one of the most shockingly enjoyable Kansas State football games of all-time, however LaMark Brown is one of the most under-utilized players in the history of college football. Never has a player with as much talent played so much and touched the ball so little.

Now, before we criticize anyone too heavily, we understand that maybe, just maybe, he is cloaked in secret weapon mode. However due to events of earlier this season, that scenario must rely on the prospect of a mind of such genius and foresight that we as fans cannot even begin to comprehend why decisions are being made and trust that it will all work out in the end.

However, his case is as follows,

He has proven, without a shadow of a doubt, (A) that he can, in fact, wrap his hands around the ball and secure it, without dropping it.

And

(B) That when the ball is in his hands it is difficult for a single defender to bring him to the ground for a tackle.

So, for the good of our collegiate football team and looking towards the hope of playing in an end of the year bowl game, we politely ask, with all our hearts, for ever and ever, please do your best to ensure that he receives the ball multiple times per game; please specifically call plays for him that involve him containing the ball in a manner that will allow him to run with it in the open field; and please allow him the freedom to do what his heart utmost desires: to destroy his opponents.

Signed,
Catdom

If winning like we did this past weekend doesn't require LaMark being involved very much I wouldn't mind not hearing about him the rest of the year...

Quitters don't get balls thrown to them.

Catdom is certain that he will be needed to win games this year. Saturday, October 17, 2009 was a unique exception.

I will admit it was badass seeing him almost run down Banks on the kickoff return for a TD. Amazing athlete.

I've found a way to utilize him.  He can be one of the x's in the row of three.  I should be a coach!   :dancin:

Good to know at least one other person watching live or on television was paying attention.

*UPDATE*

No longer can he be classified as a secret weapon, ksufans.com, after we revealed our desire to throw him a screen, twice.

Sadly, for us all, neither time he touched the ball.

Beat your chest.

He made one really nice special teams tackle today. Had another tackle on special teams as well. Maybe we could utilize him more in that department?

I've been fine with playing him both ways all along.

It would be easy for him to do.

Would not sweat any more than he currently does.

Doesn't really fatigue.

Sheer poeticism.
