But seriously, peaches don't really do it for me, the book notwithstanding.

Tankers will not eat apricots, allow apricots onto their vehicles, and often will not even say the word "apricot." This superstition stems from Sherman tank breakdowns purportedly happening in the presence of cans of apricots.

I don't know if I trust this fruit...

Of course, who am I to argue with American tank-driving soldiers ? Never knew that superstition. Guess I won't be doing any of that should I ever be allowed to drive a tank.
