So KSU SHOULD have the "highest paid high school coach" then?

Can we fit a plane inside Bram?

We'll find out . . . right now I'd say Frank's coaching/game management pretty much sucks.

Doesn't mean it won't improve.  And that doesn't mean I want to see him fired.

How will "The Highest Paid High School Coach" improve his "X's and O's"?

I say we get proactive.  Why wait till next year and let Frank "ride all of that talent into another NCAA bid" just to let him bilk us out of more money in the future?

What happened between last year and this year? Did he forget how to coach, or did he never have it? This is year TWO man!

If he sucked at "X's and O's" last year and the beginning of this year, that all the pattern I need to see.

We as fans deserve better than this.  KSU doesn't need "The Highest Paid High School Coach", vote with your wallets people!!!

Merriweather getting all those minutes, Kent and Colon starting . . . the way the offense just stalls at times which is the hallmark of those who come from the Huggins school, some of Huggins best teams could look like dog$hit, completely lost at times, so this is not new.  Good coaching doesn't allow one guy to beat you, and that's what happened tonight.   Frank will learn, but while he's learning it's going to cost us some games . . . "retard" players or not.

Chin . . . you're taking this way too personally.  Relax, have a drink, maybe a Valium.

hopefully we can get a guy with KSU ties a real SLTH, how about that Mike Miller guy any chance we can get him from Eastern Illinois? And he seems like such a nice fellow and a real X's and O's type of coach, I bet he can coach our boys up.

Colon is clearly the second best overall.

I am relaxed, a little ill (been sick all week).

I just don't understand the lack of a call to action from the masses.

We as K-State fans are owed by the university winning teams and respectable coaches.  When is enough, enough?

Then don't get into halfcourt games with teams . . . I thought we were going to push the ball more this year, yet against real teams, we can't get out the low 70's.   Right now Colon is giving KSU .9 blocks per game and .1 steals per game, and is only the 4th best rebounder on the team.   Why is he starting against a 4 guard starting lineup of Oregon???

Cause that leaves one non-guard?  And cause he's learned to keep his arms up and prevent easy buckets without fouling.

He's a far better defender than Anderson, and his offense/athleticism puts him ahead of Colon.

Yeah, the one "non guard" is 6-8 and is averaging 2 points a game, a real offensive threat . . . lets start Luis.

Rusty . . . you need to stick to bitching about Snyder.   Because your basketball knowledge sucks.

My left nut is a better defender than Anderson.  And sadly, colon is better at put backs than samuels.  I know samuels is the future, and you want him to be better, but right now, he's just not.

Yeah, because Luis really dominated down on the offensive end . . .   6 foot 10, 17 minutes . . . no points.  Guarding the only 2 forwards Oregon has . . . who going into the game averaged a combined . . . 4 points per game.

Again, he knows how to prevent easy hoops from big's and guards.  Not a difficult concept here.  I'm not sure why you think Frank's ever going to lean towards offense over defense.  Not gonna happen.

Yep . . . and their starting guards were 9-12 from 3 . . . sounds like a job for Luis Colon, who while towering over everyone on the floor for his 17 minutes managed . . . NO POINTS.

Why the frack does it matter who played instead of Luis . . . they had 2, yes 2 F/C's available tonight who made Darren Kent look like the 2nd coming of Dirk Nowitzki.

The point is . . . Colon towered over everyone on the floor and gave K-State nothing on the offensive end . . . NOTHING.   Why bother, everyone's entire argument for starting Colon was because he's the best inside defender we have.  We'll a freaking high school JV team could guard the "big guys" Oregon rolled out there tonight . . . so BFD.  Of course you guys don't understand how idiotic your arguments for starting Colon sound in light of the personnel Oregon played this evening.   This isn't that hard.

yes anderson was a real terror under the hoop tonight on d. :blindfold:
&@#% frank had to keep switching the lineup because nothing was working luis can't get buckets and anderson can't stop people from scoring buckets.

Anderson had 8 boards (3 offensive), 3 more than Colon in just 3 more minutes, he also had 2 steals, he was also 6 for 7 from the Field.   Yeah . . . I see your point.  Yep, lets trade that for Luis Colon's iron curtain 1 block effort and his much needed defensive prowess in stopping a guy who averages . . . 2 points a game.

Jamar Samuals had 2 blocked shots . . . shot 50% from the field and was a perfect 8 for 8 from the line.

Yep, lets make sure Luis and Darren get some minutes.

Frank uses the Huggins method...play defense or sit the bench.  Particularly early in the season (pre conference) this is all you will see until the conference starts.  He is tring to instill in the guys he really needs what he needs them to do and he does it by yelling, and by playing time.  He put Pullen in the last few minutes because he knew he could make plays for us...unfortunately Pullen had his head...well you know.  He is trying to teach his offensive players how to play the D they need to play.  We did for spurts (quick rotations) but the rotations still tend to be slow and we settle in to an even pace on defense, which is not what we need or what Frank wants.  I understand you want to criticize Frank and I disagree with things he does as well...that being said, we have a very good recruiting class due in next year when, combined with the team we will have coming back, will give us a deep team and will make us much better than we have been at any time (other than maybe last years team) since the late 1980's.  Like his coaching or not, he and his staff are bringing in the talent to make us relevant in BB again.

Whose the guy you want in the game to be the shut down guy when the other team gets 90.6% of their points from guards, including 27 from behind the arc . . . Luis Colon.

I mean, if you're going to bitch (in your typical idiotic repetitive manner), bitch about Kent getting minutes.  GMAFB, dude.

Many of us had us penciled in for 3 or 4 losses at this point in the season. JMO.

QFKst...aside from the cleveland state win, this is what I expected. that being said, this team might be crappier than I thought.

I did.  I assumed we would lose to Cleveland State but get a win vs. Iowa.  Frank has met my high expectations for the season thus far.   :users:

Luis Colon and Darren Kent are starting for us.  We're just not very good.  I still say 8-8 in conference.

These are coaching decisions he has other players.  He doesn't have to play an 11 man rotation I don't see anyone else doing it at outside of kids league where you have to play everyone so many minutes per game by rule.  All these posts about we'll never be any good as long as so and so plays are missing the point.  Frank is the one that decides who plays and who doesn't.  Most teams figure out who their best 8 players are and go with them.

8-8 would be nice actually.  might mean post season (nit or cbi)

we should hang banners if this team finishes 8-8.
