Yep . . . and their starting guards were 9-12 from 3 . . . sounds like a job for Luis Colon, who while towering over everyone on the floor for his 17 minutes managed . . . NO POINTS.

Why the frack does it matter who played instead of Luis . . . they had 2, yest 2 F/C's available tonight who made Darren Kent look like the 2nd coming of Dirk Nowitzki.

wtf are you even talking about dax? what does the guards going 9-12 from 3 have to do with colon and his job? Your just rambling off bull crap stats that aren't helping your gopowertarded case.

The point is . . . Colon towered over everyone on the floor and gave K-State nothing on the offensive end . . . NOTHING.   Why bother, everyone's entire argument for starting Colon was because he's the best inside defender we have.  We'll a freaking high school JV team could guard the "big guys" Oregon rolled out there tonight . . . so BFD.  Of course you guys don't understand how idiotic your arguments for starting Colon sound in light of the personnel Oregon played this evening.   This isn't that hard.

What did you prove??  That you can pull anything out of your ass to try and rationalize Luis Colon getting anything more than 8 minutes of PT tonight to spell Anderson and Samuals??

yes anderson was a real terror under the hoop tonight on d. :blindfold:
&@#% frank had to keep switching the lineup because nothing was working luis can't get buckets and anderson can't stop people from scoring buckets.

Anderson had 8 boards (3 offensive), 3 more than Colon in just 3 more minutes, he also had 2 steals, he was also 6 for 7 from the Field.   Yeah . . . I see your point.  Yep, lets trade that for Luis Colon's iron curtain 1 block effort and his much needed defensive prowess in stopping a guy who averages . . . 2 points a game.

Jamar Samuals had 2 blocked shots . . . shot 50% from the field and was a perfect 8 for 8 from the line.

Yep, lets make sure Luis and Darren get some minutes.

Whose the guy you want in the game to be the shut down guy when the other team gets 90.6% of their points from guards, including 27 from behind the arc . . . Luis Colon.

Samuels is our best overall big man.

Colon is clearly the second best overall.

Best kind of defense imo.  I had it perfected, yoga-like_abana can vouch for me. :block:

Frank uses the Huggins method...play defense or sit the bench.  Particularly early in the season (pre conference) this is all you will see until the conference starts.  He is tring to instill in the guys he really needs what he needs them to do and he does it by yelling, and by playing time.  He put Pullen in the last few minutes because he knew he could make plays for us...unfortunately Pullen had his head...well you know.  He is trying to teach his offensive players how to play the D they need to play.  We did for spurts (quick rotations) but the rotations still tend to be slow and we settle in to an even pace on defense, which is not what we need or what Frank wants.  I understand you want to criticize Frank and I disagree with things he does as well...that being said, we have a very good recruiting class due in next year when, combined with the team we will have coming back, will give us a deep team and will make us much better than we have been at any time (other than maybe last years team) since the late 1980's.  Like his coaching or not, he and his staff are bringing in the talent to make us relevant in BB again.

I mean, if you're going to bitch (in your typical idiotic repetitive manner), bitch about Kent getting minutes.  GMAFB, dude.

QFKst...aside from the cleveland state win, this is what I expected. that being said, this team might be crappier than I thought.

I did.  I assumed we would lose to Cleveland State but get a win vs. Iowa.  Frank has met my high expectations for the season thus far.   :users:

These are coaching decisions he has other players.  He doesn't have to play an 11 man rotation I don't see anyone else doing it at outside of kids league where you have to play everyone so many minutes per game by rule.  All these posts about we'll never be any good as long as so and so plays are missing the point.  Frank is the one that decides who plays and who doesn't.  Most teams figure out who their best 8 players are and go with them.

8-8 would be nice actually.  might mean post season (nit or cbi)

we should hang banners if this team finishes 8-8.
