I know I won't and I hope most don't. Spend your money on something more worthwhile.

If Prince goes to a bowl, then yes he needs to be supported to continue on. His only issue is that the defense has not seen improvement, where his offense is pretty productive.
Once he gets the defense on track we'll be really good, since we also kick ass on special teams.

FWIW, we were saying this last year too.

KsU
LOL, nice
-
Prince's success is all tied into Freeman. Without Josh, we are an absolute terrible team, with him, we can beat bad teams. Prince sucks at recruiting, if freeman leaves after this season, and Prince is still here, we will probably be looking at 2 or 3 wins next year, thanks to Ron.
-
Why would you not support KSU? If this does happen, then we will have a coach who has led this team to a bowl in 2 of his first 3 years...that's not too bad. I will continue to be at every KSU home game regardless of who our coach is, or how many wins we have to that point in the season, or how many 500 yard games we've given up in a row, because I love KSU. I'm not a Ron Prince fan, I'm a KSU fan. If the bowl trip is at all do-able for this college student, I'll pony up and go support my favorite team in the world.

It would apply in any year since we have come to expect bowl games at a minimum every year, although he has promised us so much more.

NO.

My plan is to collect some sort of anti-petition of KSU fans.
Send all of the lower tier bowls interested in us a latter saying we are boycotting our fraud of a coach, and that we will not be traveling and spending money at those location. Make ourselves as UNdesirable to bowls committees as possible. We all sign and send it to them.
Then we can fire Prince even if he goes 6-6 (and maybe even 7-5). The NAACP and CORE will have less ammo to hit us with at the lawsuit.

Yes, haven't missed one yet

Asshole.

What's funny about Prince getting to a bowl is that it would mean that he won, basically, all/most the games where his team's talent was equal to or better than the opponent.....essentially all/most the games that he "should" win.
But I want him fired because I don't see a future with him as the head coach. He cannot retain or find assistants that can recruit, which is basically what happened with our last coach. We have zero answers for this defense on the current roster and I'm not convinced that this group of coaches can get enough of those players that will make this defense good. Also, he's pretty much going to be unaccepted by a lot of the fan base for his entire tenure here; basically every year will be like Wooly's second and last year, and that gets boring and will ultimately lead to his eventual firing.
also, to answer the question, no, I won't go. i only go to Cotton or Fiesta Bowls.

wtf is an anti-petition?

now being undesirable is absolutely what a fan base wants its perception to be
Then we can fire Prince even if he goes 6-6 (and maybe even 7-5). The NAACP and CORE will have less ammo to hit us with at the lawsuit.
how will that be less ammo and not more? and by hitting at the lawsuit do you mean that you think that violence will erupt in the courtroom?

Back in the day, we would petition the Orange Bowl (for example) to select K-State because we would bring tons of fans and spend all sorts of money in Miami.
An anti-petition is the opposite. We threaten bowls with not showing up at all. Let them know that picking KSU would be the worst economic decision the bowl ever made.
If we're good enough (which means Prince is gone) then bowls will have to take us no matter what.
Its win-win-win.

depends on where the bowl is.
If he makes it to the Motor City Bowl, I'm definitely in!

Agreed, I love Detroit. Tons of things to do, great people, great food, great city overall.

Not to mention the opportunity to get beat down by a mid-major on national TV!!

lol, that's not an anti-petition (whatever that is) it is a petition with a different goal.

Looks like most of you agree with me!
:ksu:
That's good. Give me a few days to write the anti-petition and you all can sign it electronically. Together we can prevail.
Maybe some of you guys can also give me pointers on what else to include besides our decision to no-show. Perhaps we can threaten to start a public smear campaign against the sponsor's product or something in addition.

I'm confused. With an anti-petition, wouldn't you go around and as people not to sign?

Actually, I bet we end up 5-7 and don't go to a bowl.
The perverse thing is, I actually see this playing out exactly like the Wooldridge debacle.
School President has hitched his wagon to this guy. School President doesn't want to ride off into the sunset with the firing of another coach. School president obviously didn't learn from the last time he tried to play athletic director and let his personal relationship and ambition come before the good of the program.
So, we keep a lame duck on staff for another year, just like we did with Wooldridge. The inevitable happens, he gets killed in recruiting, he doesn't land a legit DC because obviously no one with any credibility will join the staff knowing he'll be gone in a year anyhow, Freeman goes to the draft, we're just as bad if not worse next year, and we're sitting here having the same convo 12 months from now.

I'm embarassed that I didn't catch on early what a big, stinky sock you are.

A coach really needs 5 or 6 years to get his program on track. You're an idiot if you don't believe that.

Come on, rodent....
I KNOW you aren't really THAT stupid.
Look at Snyder's first 3 years at K-State. Consistent improvement in not only the effort and play on the field, but also in the win-loss columns. And, granted Stoops took over some good talent left behind by Blake, but it sure as hell didn't take him more than a couple of seasons to show SIGNIFICANT improvement.
This coaching regime has been nothing short of a TRAINWRECK from the outset. A revolving door in regards to coordinators and assistants, crappy recruiting, poor effort and decreased quality of play.
Just what is going to change from year four to year seven that couldn't take place from the outset?
-
yes but conditionally. they have to be 7-5 win or lose the bowl or 6-6 and win the bowl.
