splice the lines ;)

We have 4 tv's and only two boxes.  The only downside is that you can only change the channel on two of the tv's and the rest are programmed to the same station but, when it is an away game day...who cares - they all have the game on anyhow. :dancin:

we did that where i lived last year, and encountered the same prob. plus it was grainy...which kind of defeated the purpose.

Dish has just about caught up on HD channels (actually more if you count Voom), and has a better DVR.  No Sunday Ticket, though...

Actually, I was asking about this on another site. What's the consensus between Time Warner and Dish. I'll be moving and am not sure which to go with.

I want to be able to catch as much KSU football and basketball. That's priority number one. HD will be nice once I have an HD tv, but for now, it's not super important. I just want a good chunk of channels but don't need everything under the sun.

Time Warner not too bad (never had dish service).  you only pay for the HD box (not the channels), but there's only about 15-16 HD channels with the free HD service.  only ksu games i've been able to watch in HD have been on ESPN as FSNmidwestHD only has a few HD programs then it's off air the rest of the time and versus is a regular digital channel.  if you're looking for a more expanded HD package go with Dish/DirecTV.

For a KSU and Big12 fan, the best part about Direct TV is the FSN regional networks that have constant HD channels.  So even if the game is not broadcast in HD, FSN NY or FSN West or any of the other FSN may have it on their HD channel and it looks a whole lot better than the crap SD channel you get from cable or regular Direct TV.

In addition, a there are always other CFB and CBB games (Big East and Pac 10 mostly) that you get for $7 extra a month the "sports" package costs including a couple of times when a Big 12 CBB (OU @ Baylor) game was not on in KC on the "basic" package I watched it on MSG HD IIRC.

If sports are the most important thing to you, Direct TV is hard to beat, especially if you have HD.

You need a signal booster, they're sometimes called repeaters, check radio shack.
