Can't wait....Go cats!
-
damnit, this is the first year in 6 years that I didn't get season tickets. what do they look like?
-
9-8-07 (Ft. Riley day) vs. San Jose State has Willie and Fort Riley soldiers on it
9-15-07 (Band day) vs. MState has the picture from highway signs of Figures (american flag) and Campell (kansas flag) with team behind them running out of tunnel
10-6-07 (harley day) vs. ku has picture of 3 KSU players tackling a ku player
10-13-07 vs. CU - Jordy after catching pass
10-27-07 (homecoming) vs. BU - Willie
The best one...imo
11-17-07 (senior day) vs. MU - Jackson's play last year when he stripped the ball out of Daniels hand at the begining of the game.

Scheduling Homecoming for the Baylor game is NOT bold & daring.

Good idea putting band day on the MSU game. It atleast sells out the north endzone.
Mail's not here just yet for me, so I'm looking forward to checking.

I will be checking to mailbox as well.

We should win every home game. MU is the only questionable one, but it IS Pinkel on the road.

that's 80% of the reason that I think we will win. I feel 99% sure we will win at home against MU

Why didn't you renew?
$600 for my wife and I for 6 games.
I know enough people that buys tickets and prob won't be able to go to all of them that I just bought tickets to MU and ku and will probably be able to pick up the other games for $10 a piece. Will prob save $300 or so and my seats weren't so great to begin with. Was in section 13 Row 16; seats on the isle. There were also too many loud idiotic elderly powertards sitting around me griping about every "no call".

Get your tickets from scalpers, simple.

I began enjoying football games a lot more after I failed to renew my wife's season ticket. Huge cost savings.
Not saying anything bad about her, just sayin'.

Section 13 sucks horribly. My parents got tickets there back in '92 and i've been begging them since about '97 to move to somewhere else. My brothers and I get yelled at constantly to sit down (only stand up usually on 3rd down) and the people in that section dont know jack about fball
Section 13=#1 Powertard Section in BSFS

I actually enjoy watching football with my wife now. It makes me feel smart teaching her things, she has enough interest in it to not want to leave early, she knows enough about it now that she doesn't ask me questions during the game, and she knows not to talk to me when we're playing like crap. I want it to be a family past time so that my son will hopefully be more inclined to like it. It's actually a good thing and all my friends like it as well. Because whenever we watch games with other people that bring their wifes, my wife can explain to the other wifes what's going on and the guys don't get bothered with stupid questions.
It's also good because she gets excited when I plan trips to california specifically to watch the Fresno State game.

I hope you're dad wasn't the guy that wore sandals to every game last year; even the cold games. Probably one of the most annoying guys; had like 6 different CAT CANNON Shirts and was always screaming out unfunny jokes and then looking around for approval. I almost told him to stick it up his ass during the Nebraska game and he was making himself look like a giant douche trying to talk "smack" on a bunch of Husker fans.

I got my tickets today!!! :ksu: :ksu: :ksu:

And thus, the reason our attendance has dropped over the years...
-
I only have NU season tickets :crybaby:
Corn Games (not involving KSU) :chainsaw:
-
I'm too poor to buy season tickets.
Plus the scalpers are cheap and stuff.
-
Got mine in the mail today also. It seems like every year since I've had season tickets ('92) the ticket office has sent them out sooner & sooner.
:woohoo: :woohoo:

I doubt you were too "poor" during the DOD.
I doubt you will be too "poor" for this upcoming basketball season.

I was a student back then (99-03, only seasons I had tix).
And I'll def. be too poor for basketball, too.
-
Okay.
-
We went the "young alumni" route and got the tickets for $185 a piece.
Basketball is expensive :( But we are still buying them, my wife would murder me if I did not renew.
-
And thus, the reason our attendance has dropped over the years...
QFT... Too bad Weiser or Coach prince don't pay attention to these boards... *aheem... Cough* I'm on a limited income and can't justify $100 per game for my wife and I... at the very least. Add on top of that $50-$60 in gas $30 in food... I love KSU, but I've gotta leave some $$ for other things.
We went the "young alumni" route and got the tickets for $185 a piece.
This was my first year without young alumni... which is probably why it was so much of a shock to go from a little over $300 to $600 for my wife and I. I just couldn't do it this year. Next year difinately.
-
If I wasn't in the non-donor section, I wouldn't be able to afford basketball season tickets.

Why don't you just enroll into a class, buy student tickets and then drop out of the class?
-
does that actually work?
-
9-8-07 (Ft. Riley day) vs. San Jose State has Willie and Fort Riley soldiers on it
:yuck:
 - what did you want them to have on them? Surely you don't man :yuck: towards the soldiers
-
does that actually work?
Yes. I think you might have to spring fifteen dollars for an ID to go and pick up the tickets but yeah, then you can drop out of the class free of charge. Your wife would have to stand all game though.
-
We stand all game as it is... we had isle seats, so there weren't really people behind us. We did bring our son with us a couple of times just so that he could say that the first KSU game he ever went to he was 1 years old... We got pictures and stuff...
-
And only one of you has to be a student. The spouse gets tickets for the same price in the student section, student or not.
-
1. Does it matter that I've already graduated
2. How many times do you think I can do that before Weiser pulls a dax on me?

-No
2. How many times do you think I can do that before Weiser pulls a dax on me?
-Unlimited, I'm sure. Several people do it. The athletic department doesn't go back and check to see if you're still a student. They don't have time for that. It would probably get a little excessive once you started bringing your kids to the games though.
-
Yeah, that's a problem. And depending on how young they are, you don't want them in the student section.
-
I just opened my tickets. They smell like WINNERS!

Yeah, This would have been a great year to try this; as my son is still young enough that he doesn't really have the ability to voice his desire on going or not. And, the home games really kind of suck so if there was some way it didn't work out it wouldn't be too exp. to scalp the tickets instead.

What do you mean would have been? You still have the opportunity to do it. They won't be sold out of football tickets.

I've already spent like $200 for the ku vs. MU game which would be the most expensive part of the season. I'm sure I can scalp the rest for hardly no $.

I don't believe that. When I called, they refused to talk to me, they had to talk to my wife (former student). Then they had to verify her SSN#, and then she had to mail them a copy of our marriage certificate to prove that we are married...just so we could get young alumni tickets.

But after you show them that, pick up tickets, then you can drop. They stop caring after that last hoop.

Was your wife a KSU alumni? 'cause I didn't have to do all that to prove that my wife and I were in fact married... the only difference I could guess is that both my wife and I were "young" alumni.
Also; what are the requirements now-adays for ICAT... I couldn't ever get them until my junior year... and we couldn't sit on the &@#%ing 50 yard line.

You have to be an upperclassman and you have to get them before they're sold out.
