Keep wishing, Grapes.
He'd come to KSU before ku.

I rate him as the greatest human being ever.

Reel him in RP, and we're playin' with the big boys.

I would never question Prince's recruiting abilities. It all comes down to whether Prince wants him or not.

Joke's on you I'm a KSU fan.

We need to win the Big 12 to land this guy....
-
Yeah, that just sealed his fate of not playing for us. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelooooooooooooooooooo OU.
-
We need to win the Big 12 to land this guy....
And you base that on what? Winning this season will look good, but being a good fit and Arthur's shot at making an impact early at whatever school he chooses matters more, IMO.

Very difficult to see that.

Then act like one, and pretend, that maybe, just maybe, we can start getting talent like we were in the days of '97-2000 will ya?

Arthur > Beasley? Beasley > Arthur? Which would be the bigger pickup. I say Arthur because he would be here more than 1 year. OT: I would like to combine them into one uber'athlete. They would have all the basketball skills of Beasley but also kill people with lazer eyes. Now that I think about it I would just like to combine Beasley with a set of lazer eyes instead. I would just like to have Arthur on the team, ......unless he also wants lazer eyes in which case I'm all for that too.
-
you would be surprised at how easy it is to pick up a pair of laser eyes this day and age.

Both are incredible, but I'd have to say Beasley>Arthur.

Grapes?
A common nickname for us on phog. Intended to be derogatory, but I find it kind of funny myself.
-
Great Grapes, Batman! Some of them are green, some red, but most of them are purple!

we need this guy to win the Big 12

One LB really can't make that much of a difference, esp. with as crappy as our Dline will be next year.

I have to ROFL @ areas for improvement, which says discipline. This guy lives and breathes football, is a hard worker, and supposedly stays away from drinking/smoking. However, I guess Smoke Patterson wouldn't be a good example for him...

Still think he is OU's to lose, I doubt he'd choose a 3-4 over a 4-3, especially with OU's history of putting LB's in the NFL, Calmus, Lehman, Lattimer, Alexander etc, etc.

3-4 = more playing time
-
NOTE: Scout has him as the #1 prospect OVERALL!!!
-
Probably didn't help our cause when Ray lewis came out and said how much he hated playing in the 3-4 now that they are switching next year.
-
It's going to be fun to watch A. Brown at OU. Hopefully he sees the field his first two seasons so we get to see him in person.

If he goes to OU, I will hope that he sucks.

Wow. I've been skipping over this thread for a long time because of all of the dumbass posts that I knew I'd find inside. Bookcat deserves the king dumbass award for that beauty. Snyder never came close to landing a high school recruit that was rated #1 at anything. And Prince's recruiting classes thus far aren't all that different from any of Snyder's in terms of ratings.
-
Chum, we all know that there is much more to success in CFB than aquiring recruits with good ratings. Of course we also tend to forget that when a touted 5* considers us. Analyzing video and trying to see intangibles is a big part of it too. Snyder did it, RP is too. You could also blame Snyder's "prove your worth in your senior year" mentality for not hauling in the blue chips.
-
Grapes?
You gotta love those strawberry/blueberries over on the phog.

Yeah, Snyder's best players were 3 stars and JUCO's. Stars don't matter because there will always be tons of guys under the radar. You're not going to tell me that there are only 100 elite football players in America every year out of the tens of thousands that suit up in HS. It's a matter of finding them, being able to evaluate them, and being able to develop them to bring out their full potential. also coming up with good schemes to utilize their strengths.

I don't think this is a knock on Brown as much as it is a knock on how he is coached. After seeing him on film, like most great HS players, both Browns are allowed a lot more leaway and b/c of this they do things outside the scheme often and that simply won't fly at the BCS level. He will need some coaching up to play within a scheme b/c he's allowed to pretty much just find the ball and run to it, and at K-State he'll have more reponsibilities and assignments than that.
-
He'll be at the Spring Game. We need to put on a show as only K-State is capable of doing!
