Let's go Sweden
As good a thread as any for this: Went and curled last night at Line Creek in KC. Was pretty darn sweet. Much further than i expected and it was much more difficult to get one to go the right speed where it stops in the "house" than i thought. The brooming/sweeping certainly makes a difference. now that i am an expert, you can ask many any curling questions like we ask MIR womens hockey questions.

They get a stipend for playing on the national team and they play into the spring with the annual world championships. Most of them work real jobs and play in mens leagues.Mens leagues, like at the wichita ice centers of their respective towns?

And the sweeping thing, do they shave the ice and leave the shavings on? The ice seems like what hockey ice would be like if it were never zambonied

When sweeping, pressure and speed of the brush head are key in slightly increasing the layer of moisture that builds up under the stone.
