great thread here:

http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=173&f=2670&t=7042963

Precisely.

It's a really good summary of what we're up against as a fanbase and as a university.

Considering that fact that GoPowercat has about 3,000+ subscribers alone and 80% share this exact same viewpoint, yeah it's a pretty sobering reminder of the challenge we face combatting this ideology.

What exactly does backfiring consist of here? Unless somehow this leavitt thing works out before the season I can't see things getting much worse.

Hell, all I needed to know about the situation was 90% of Bramlage (and 99% of the student section  ) giving Bill a raucous cheer last night. We're badly outnumbered here.

Instead of waiting another 2-3 years to "calm the waters," Synds stays on for another 5-10 years and runs this program so far into the ground that they can't resurrect it when we eventually get shuttled off to the Mountain West :bawl:

Just think about the last time Snyder was fired... I mean, Retired.   What happened there?

I think two to three more years of WRSOAT will be sufficient to flat line the program.  I get not wanting to expose people to collateral damage in this thing like business owners and the like but I can't understand not wanting to do it for fear that Snyder might stay longer just because a group of people don't want him to.

Go back to Colorado State, loser.

Hey everybody, j rake here has the solution to all our problems!!  He knows a guy that will do this for us in Aggieville for FREE!!!

I expect to see this by next week.  TIA  :pbj:

It's not as likely that Snyder would stay on another 5-10 just to eff us at goEMAW specifically, rather it's more likely that the fan backlash will be so severe that they'll likely beg him to stay another decade. That would have repercussions in the AD offices, because they ultimately can't go against the shirt tucks who have the vast majority of the money. It basically comes down to how their policy-making process gets influenced. Ultimately, that's why this situation sucks so much. Both scenarios have us very likely flatlining, but one of them (not pissing off the shirt tucks) gives at least the hope that ADJC and UPKS can dig us out of it if Snyder erodes enough goodwill to get him to "retire" rather than actually retire.

Watching the crowd chanting in unison for Bill Sndyer on the center hung scoreboard last night in Bramlage was very telling.

I enjoyed the moment we had as this was happening.

Think of the impact...

I would call this the dumbest idea I have ever heard about, but then I remembered you guys thought it was a good idea to pay a high school coach more money than he can ever spend on rims for his car or whatever his people blow their money on.   Bill is going to once again be the only coach at K-State to play a post-season game.  Maybe he can get Frank Martinez to apply his natural talents to come clean his pool over the summer.
