I was driving up the hill on mission right off 35 after that icestorm (07?) and halfway up my car stopped and started sliding back down. Somehow I got turned around on the way down and just went up rainbow instead

wow, lib^7. i did the same exact thing last year. ran two red lights on rainbow because i didnt wanna lose the speed i had at a light.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

This is very disappointing when you've gotten new irons and golf shoes in the last week.

Booked a refundable flight into KC Friday night for the game next weekend. Don't know why. Should I cancel?

That looks like the worst conceivable route at the moment, but maybe by then they will have had enough time to get the roads salted.  It's very early in the season, so they won't be out of salt.
