None of our guards had a BCS offer except Nick Russell's Licklighter offer.

Shocking they suck?   :ck:

Wasn't McG a 4-star? Or are you not counting him as a forward?

I guess you can call him a 2g.  Great job FW.

FW?

Point I made in another thread about recruiting. It wasn't that the staff wasn't recruiting, it was they missed on three guys who would have made us a legit top-five team -- Burks, Dixon and Denmon. They weren't the kind of high school players who get recruiting followers all wet, but probably NBA guys. The disparity between Irving, Russel, Spradling and those three is huge.

Were we in on any of those 3 guys?

I don't think they recruited dixon all that hard, but Denmon and Burks were major fuckups.

michigancat is right.  kstate recruited denmon & burks much harder than dixon.

Ah. And yeah, Burks and/or Denmon would be really nice right about now.

Fast break points FT rate.  2 hallmarks of last year's team that we just aren't very good at, without Denis we don't have many easy points in transition and we aren't drawing enough fouls.

We need to stop using this as a standard for THIS team.  We knew going into the season that Denis was gone, we knew this was not going to be a strength.  This team was supposed to play inside out and because of Curtis rough ridin' up, Jamar being Jamar (he needs a complimentary back to basket player to help him, he's a high low guy), and Wally, Freddy, and JoHenRo not coming anywhere close to what was expected we are left still waiting.  I really think Curtis holds the key, he can make it easier on everyone else if he comes back with his head out of his ass.  More Curt equals less pressure on Jake, Rodney, and Jamar and a less reliance on Mo, Larry, and Curly.

wooly's teams sucked in transition and i always attributed it to lack of talent.  basically i agree with the rest of the thread.
