Must hurt pretty badly to go from "Lew is building a monster" to Sheahon Zenger.

Going from the sitting AD at UConn a BCS Conference School, to the sitting AD at . . . Illinois "everybody has to start somewhere" State, and during the process getting rejected by the Athletic Director at . . . TULSA . . . TULSA!!

if the tulsa AD would've taken the ku job, do you think tulsa would've hired zenger? that's the question. i personally doubt it.

How do you get crap on by a rube from Tulsa, then as your next attempt at a hire, brag about a guy that his alma mater didn't even consider for the exact same position?

Tards.

Pfft.

Guys, the ad of some valley school in illinois, or somewhere, just turned us down.  I guess we will go with our second choice and pick up this assistant AD from Tennessee who can raise a lot of money, is familiar with hiring dece coaches, and loves building new crap.

We are so second class.

directing athletics at KU would be one of the best AD jobs in the country, can't blame the EMAW for being smart and jumping on the chance to do it.  i wouldn't want currie's job if they paid me (what currie makes).  no mas.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Yihawn was a Sigma Nu.  Rumor has it that he selected some no name freshmen to help him coach the Pi Phi girls at Pledge Games.....and they ran the table.  Chi Os were being coached by Seniors and finished a very distant second.   Obviously has "it."

Also heard that he got super hammered at Blackfoot Whitefoot and crap in the ATO's atrium water garden.

How the eff would a Sigma Nu not get laid with Tri-Delt right across the street?  Says all you need to know about this guy.

He was the absolute front runner but pulled out due to the stuff brewing with Prince and all the backdoor money buy out. Remember Zeng knew people on the inside and when he got info how bad it was he didn't want the job

  Hawkdoctor used to have a little bit of cred, but this is just sad and pathetic.  He's actually trying to sell the idea that Zenger, a K-State grad with deep K-State roots, would turn down a job at his BCS LEVEL ALMA MATER and choose to stay at ILLINOIS rough ridin' STATE because of a clusterfuck that really wasn't going to affect his job much.  THEN, he takes a job at what is definitely his second favorite university in the state who happens to be BALLS DEEP IN THE MIDDLE OF A GINORMOUS CLUSTERFUCK that will make his job next to impossible in the both the near and not-so-near future.

Yeah...that seems likely.  Beems, how in the eff do you even justify that to yourself?  It's beyond Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).  :bang:

Hawkcac on the slant payroll possibly, no one gives better reach arounds to all things related KU than he?  I remember  fitz said that Shay Uh-Huh-nnn  didn't want to be part of what big time college athletics has become.  Think it was in the tv on the internet deep purple show, so someone with a subscription can look it up.  I take this as a translation BGL -to Shay-uh-huh-nn Zeng's "DO NOT DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL"...thoughts?  Turna's gonna be stoked Bill Self is gonna be  :goodbyecruelworld:  I'm sure he's a good guy though

ku is a great job for someone like Zenger . . . but weeks ago much of Tardville and some media types were talking sitting athletic directors at BCS schools, bantering about the guys from CU, Kentucky and several others.   End result, rejected by the AD of a C-USA school, and end up hiring the AD at a Missouri Valley School.

Tardville will never understand they've had exactly one big time AD hire, and while the guy certainly improved their fortunes, he played them hard and deep, left a train wreck in his rear view mirror and walked away with millions in his pocket.   To Lew Perkins  :drink:

This is the logical fallacy they're falling into here.

Let's say it's true, and SZ didn't come to KSU because he was scared of the mess.  Well, what does it say about his faith in his abilities if John Currie was able to come in here and clean everything up in less than 18 months AND put us in our best position we may have ever been in?

Good luck, KU.  Either way, you got a guy who we didn't want or who was scared of something John Currie laughed at while guiding us through conference realignment and securing at least $70 million in facilities upgrades during the worst economic climate since the Great Depression.

This is going to be comical.   :emawkid:

A binder?  :horrorsurprise:

Quote
Still, search committee chairman Ray Evans didn’t know just how badly Zenger wanted the job until Zenger provided him a document detailing his first 90 days at Kansas.

“We didn’t have a lot of guys we were talking to with their 90-day plan,” said Evans, the managing partner of Pegasus Capital Management in Overland Park and a former KU football player. “He had prepared so well for this.”

If they thought we were tied at the hip before, just wait.  Zengy will be like, "We're basically going to go wherever K-State goes."
