so, anyways...
the d was fantastic in the 1st. kinda broke apart midway through the 2nd when they started to beat kstate in transition and then to really spread the court and move the ball.
rebounding was just ok. certainly lost some boards, but i mean, uf has good players inside.
offense missed a ton of open shots in the 1st. but they were good shots. in the 2nd, uf did more to impact kstate's horrible shooting. kstate looked sped up, out of rhythm and out of position from the full court pressure. and kinda lost against the zone. still had some easy shots not fall, especially off oboards, but you have to credit uf for a lot of that. they're long, and they played physical. it bothered kstate.
some other things. kelly forcing up poor shots against doubles. inability to run, at all. etc, etc. it certainly wasn't a perfect game, but it wasn't that bad. as i said before, the best kstate has played this year. did a good job not turning the ball over against a high pressure d. played long periods of really good d themselves. had times where they ran decent offense (although hindered by uf taking away the inside).
you're just not going to beat anyone when you shoot 27%, certainly not a good team away from home.
