Office Depot is selling accessories like the Touchstone and keyboard for about 50%.

Just turned on this ipad2.  Meh.  What does a guy who's never used anything apple before do with this?

Tablet PC's

Just pre-ordered a couple of those Kindle Fire's.

Smaller than the Ipad, but loads cheaper.  Going to try this tablet stuff out and see if it's for me.  If I really like it, I might get an Ipad.

Seems like a good way to see if you enjoy the concept without spending quite so much money.

I already have a kindle, but wanted something for games/movies/web surfing.

I'm guessing Amazon will do a really good job and you won't think the ipad is worth an extra $300 or so. As you know, Kindles, are amazing.

Almost pulled the trigger on the Fire last night, but hesitated.  Want to get a review or two first.  Report back.  TIA.

I'd buy a Fire today, but I'm waiting for HP to ship me touchpads sometime in the next year.  They fired up the Chinese sweatshop to build a few more for all of the orders outstanding.  I'll hold out for them since it's 32GB vs. 8GB on the Fire.  Also no volume control on the Fire.  Rumor is that Amazon is going to buy WebOS, but no idea if they'll keep it going or just poach the engineers.

about 0:50 into it.  can't tell if it is built in or just the quick settings app.  but yeah, the volume buttons are touchscreen.

actually, yeah, there is the quick settings icon.  so not sure if there is volume control built in (not just in individual apps).

I like almost everything about the new kindle except it just seems too small.

Kind of a deal breaker, unfortunately.

How long have you guys had your tablet/eReader and do you still use it or is it sitting on a shelf collecting dust now?

How about you guys with tablets....are you still using them?  What do you find that you use them most to do?

ipad2 seems to suck for important things like espn3 and goEMAW chat.  I'm gonna get the laptop shell thing to snap my bionic into for the few times I'd need something between a phone and a computer.

I can buy a Kindle Fire and two reconditioned color Nooks for the price of one iPad.  Any reason I should spring for the iPad?

I pre-ordered two Kindle Fire's for family, but haven't used on yet.  We'll see how it works out.  I suspect that they'll be fine for playing Angry Birds and surfing the web.

Use my TouchPad daily. I use it for internet browsing while sitting on the couch. It does everything well, including goEMAW. Definitely worth $100
