Ellis, who carries a 4.0 GPA.

Great recruits who go to KU only go there because they're about to fail. He might as well cross them off his list.

There is no way Willie Cauley is better than Perry Ellis – Perry is the best player Kansas has EVER produced!!

Talk about a tool.

new scout top 75.

Ellis at 46 seems a little more realistic than the Top 10 propaganda. Kinda surprised to see Cauley that high, but hey, there's a TON of upside there(KCPrephoops was close!). Glad to see Stephon Blair check in at 64, would really like our interest in him to pick up or at least be mentioned in the near future. Have NO clue why native Colombian Hanner Perea isn't a top priority for us.

new scout top 75.

No mention with Austin.  No surprise there, I guess, even though we were in the mix in Rivals.  Big drop for Ellis from previous mentions of top five status.

Nope, had no clue, he sure doesn't advertise that much but good to know. All the more reason we should be after his long lost bro Hanner! From what little I know about HP he's a freakishly athletic 4 and would seem to fit all the fit/need criteria for the Class of '12, again, no clue.

Austin is a HS teammate of Nick Russel's so I suppose anything is possible. Well, not anything but I'd say we have better than a snowball's chance in hell.

There was a recent update from Scout indicating Austin's Top 4 are Baylor, Kentucky, Georgetown, and Texas. Also found this update from Northstar Hoops blog. Never say never, but it appears it would be a major uphill climb to land him.

Isaiah Austin ’12, Grace Prep (TX): Arizona, Arizona State, Texas, Baylor, Colorado, Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, Georgetown, and Miami
                            Offers: All
                            Favorites: None
Note- Austin, who plans to commit “probably at the end of next summer”, said of whether location will play a factor, “[I’m going to] try to stay as close to home as possible so my mom can watch me.”

Don't know why the full Austin quote won't post above, but I do appreciate the opportunity to pad my post count.

So he's probably going to Baylor?

Based on that quote and his recent statement that Baylor, Kentucky, Georgetown, and Texas are his Top 4, I'd say Scott "I don't cheat but those other guys sure do" Drew and Rick "We only care about NBA player development, screw the NCAA's" Barnes, have the inside track.

Who are our main targets for the 2012 class?

Bigs
In addition to Austin who, as referred to above, we may not have much of a shot at, some targets are
-Cauley(offer)
-Ellis(offer)
- Joshkema Nicholas   6'11" 215   .  Finished up his HS career this past spring at a private school in Miami area. According to an article posted in this thread a couple mos back, our staff placed him at Wabash Valley(IL) JC. Will be interesting to see if he can stick there and if he does that, will there be an offer from KSU waiting for him at that time?
- Stephon Blair 6'8" 210   Maybe more of a   :crossfingers: on my part, he mentioned us in a couple updates last winter but haven't seen much of any recruiting updates on him lately.  Would like to see our interest in him pick up.

Wings
- Clint McCullough. Doesn't really have a high-major wing type game right now but unless he grows a couple inches in the next couple years, he just won't have the size to be a 4/5.
- Torian Graham ???

Guards
- Wesley Staten
- Ian Baker

That's all I got for now.
