Nick Wiggins (6'6", G, soph., Tallahassee, Fla.):Wiggins is a transfer from fellow JUCO power Vincennes. At Wabash Valley he has developed into a potential major recruit, averaging 17.3 ppg. The big wing has offers from Wichita State and Oregon State, but will probably end up with someone bigger, as Oregon, Baylor, Kansas State, Penn State and Florida State are all interested as well. Wiggins is the son of former NBA player Mitchell Wiggins, and the brother of the No. 1 prospect of the 2014 high school class, Andrew Wiggins.

Am I in charge of Figger tomorrow night???underdog, are you aware of any nwf players kstate might be looking at?I'm just guessing they may be looking at Rod Rucker (12 pts., 10 rebs) and/or laying groundwork on Chris Jones.NWF is humming along right now at 25-1 and ranked 2nd in the country and it looks like their season has not been an accident as they have a multitude of prospects on their roster. They had 4 players on the JC Junction Top 150 for '12 and their 2 best prospects might be FR who aren't even on that list.As Panj pointed out, 6'5" SO wing Rod Rucker, originally from GA, is certainly a candidate, he's NWF's leading rebounder at 10 per game, ranked 10th on JCJ's list. Another 6'5" SO wing, Neiko Hunter from AL, looks like a decent prospect, averaging 11.4 pts and 5.7 rebs, he's #48 on JCJ's list. I'd be kinda surprised to go after another big in this class but SO Shawn Jackson, 6'9" 260 PF-C, looks like another decent prospect, averaging 10.8 pts and 5 rebs, ranked 60th.Then there's Chris Jones, bigtime player no doubt, but he's Class of '13 and I'm not sure we'd want to add another smallish, ball dominant PG who would be in the same class as Angel. A recent update from Zagsblog indicated he'd received interest from UCONN, Louisville, West Virginia, and Seton Hall. Not saying it would be impossible for us to recruit Jones, just don't know if he would be an absolute need for us given our roster setup.Maybe the most intriguing prospect on NWF is 6'2" FR SG Trency Jackson, averaging 10.5 pts, 3 rebs, 1.3 stls, shooting 35% from 3 while making around 1.5 per game. Jackson is originally from MS and signed w/So. Miss out of HS and was in Class of '10. He wasn't able to qualify there and ended up RS'ing, then transferred to NWF. Besides So Miss, reported offers in HS were from Marquette, Missouri, Indiana, UAB, and USC. I couldn't find anything about his present recruitment and I'm not for certain if he'd be eligible to go back to DI in '12 or have to wait until '13.He created a buzz last week with the dunk linked belowhttp://www.ballinisahabit.net/2012/02/posterized-someone-give-trency-jackson.html

Last night at the games I ran into a friend who was sittig with a couple and the lady wanted Frank's autograph so she proceeded to get it. While visiting with Frank she asked him who he was looking at and according to her, he said two kids, one from Monroe College in New York and the other from Northwest Florida College. I'm thinking the kid from Monroe was Anthony Banks, 6'7" athletic kid and the kid from Florida might have been the little 5'11" guard, Jones, who lit it up for 30 points yesterday. Frank never mentioned Wabash College where Nick Wiggins is. After Monroe played South Plains, Texas I did not see Frank again. Anybody on this board have any insight on this? Greg Marshall of Wichita State stayed most of the evening.
