i think the ncaa is trying to be more proactive in these cases than they have in the past. that way, when players like mcmlemore get to KU, and the ncaa sits them, the ncaa doesn't look like the bad guy for sitting a kid because of past improprieties, as they've put the schools on notice that there may be an issue. i like the move by the ncaa. they're in a no-win situation and this is a great way to help deal with it.
i don't see any of the latest Muhammad developments as a big deal, tbh. it was his father who informed the ncaa about who paid for the trips. i think there is enough history between muhammad's family and the two men whom have been reported made financial benefits to muhammad. unless more comes out i really doubt much will come of the situation. but, at least the ncaa's ass is covered in case they do find more.
i also don't believe the adidas connection.
