I know these kids try to committ early, but is anyone else kind of sad Upshaw didn't get to see the OOD at full capacity? If I was a a recruit and I went to that KU-Kstate game last year and heard that place, it would be a done deal!

Robert Upshaw, who is flanked by his mother at this exhibition game, says he plans to choose a school next week.

New rule change about official visits happening earlier in process(by a whole year, iirc correctly) will allow this to be more feasible as long as our recruiters do their job.

Near 7-footer Robert Upshaw appears to be done with his visits now after a weekend trip to Kansas State. The Fresno, Calif., product had been looking as if he might stretch his recruitment into the spring but now the plan is most likely to decide early. Louisville has been considered a behind-the-scenes favorite, but the Wildcats, Georgetown and Fresno State are still making big pushes.

My favorite one-time KSU Cat recruit from this class.

Tear up the A-10, the Big 5, Philly, and the whole NE corridor Daniel.

I feel like we're getting back to the 'wooly days where we have to get excited about some random foreign big that nobody knows anything about, but we'll get excited about him anyway because we've got nothing else to be excited about, and you'll hear people say things like "he's got a lot of talent, but he's just raw", and "they don't even call fouls over there, he'll be a bruiser"  :embarrassed:

So when can we throw this year into "maybe next year we'll snag a reallly good player" bin?
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

I really liked the posts from the last couple years' threads that were all, "2012 is going to be our big year!  This year is just getting role players."

Isn't Chatkevicius reclassifying for 13?

there was some speculation of that.   but, I mean, if we whiff on every other recruit we do have one spot to fill so reclassifying may not be needed.  :embarrassed:

One of the things I remember about the Wooldridge days was the way people would spell his name Wolly.
