Well, so much for that.

http://blogs.suntimes.com/hoopsreport/2011/08/loyola_lands_keith_carter.html

was that one of those offers to make the team/coach look good for future considerations type of deal?  seems like a good idea.
K-State didn't offer did they?  I think they just listed receiving interest from K-State.

yeah, mispoke

Yeah, while Carter sounds like a good player, most of his offers and interest were mid-majorish. I think our interest here probably had a lot to do with maintaining the Pullen/Proviso East good vibes. (That's why I pointed out Carter wore #0). Granted, Pullen's interest at the same point in his career was fairly similar, but he still appeared to be appeared a slightly more sought after player than Carter. FWIW, Pullen had offers from Xavier, Nebraska, Iowa St, St. Louis before choosing KSU over Dayton.

My final thought here is that I've been slightly disappointed that KSU hasn't really attempted to tap more into the Meanstreets program(Pullen's AAU team), they always seem to churn out players(Anthony Davis, Kendrick Nunn) but the KSU Cats just haven't appeared to really go after that pipeline.

Also Upshaw at 44 and Henry at 86.

All I've seen from Hield are highlights(Scout premium), he looked pretty damn good, but again just highlights.

That Sunrise-WOL grudge match can't get here soon enough!

Asked on Friday if the Wildcats are, in fact, the team to beat for his commitment, the Spearville, Kan., product didn't take an extra breath to form his response.  "Is that true?" He said. "No."

cauley slaps kstate in the face, cassidy assists.

The kid lists Kentucky on his short list and they haven't even offered.  Pretty obvious what he would prefer.

Cauley kinda rubs me the wrong way for some reason.  I guess I like my (white, small town) b-ball players to be all humble and stuff.  I don't know much about the kid that I haven't read here though so I may be totally wrong about him.

I don't really mind his attitude. I just have a hard time believing somebody from Spearville, KS will actually end up being an elite college basketball player.

Brandon Ashley commits to 'Zona, that's 1 less big off of Kentucky's offer list, which means there's a good chance Cauley just took a step up on their priority list. Other relevant UK targets to watch in this potential domino effect situation would be Dajuan Coleman, Mitch McGary, Alex Poythress, Anthony Bennett, and of course Perry Ellis.

New name, 6'8" 230 consensus 4* Elijah Macon. Macon is a native of Columbus, OH and was a W. Va. commit, but has since decommitted. Now attends Huntington Prep and will be visiting Pitt this weekend.

"Right now, it is West Virginia, Maryland, Kansas State, and Pitt. There are some others recruiting me but those are the schools I can think of right now."

i mean, he's not exactly a home run in terms of adorableness, but there's definitely some potential there.

The water in Manhattan will fix that. Just look at Jake version Freshman.0 to Jake version Senior.4.
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

6'9" 2012 forward Anthony Joseph Perez Cortesia will transfer from Lee Academy (ME) to Montverde Academy (FL)

Serious disappointment for SCKS EMAW. This is going to take some recovery time.

Possible silver lining, Monteverde is where Kasey Hill will be playing ball this year(along with a slew of other prospects that I'm too lazy to look up right now). Are we still in the hunt? :crossfingers:*
