Kansas State signee Robert Upshaw (Fresno/San Joaquin Memorial) tossed jumphooks utilizing both hands. Still a major project though

Robert Upshaw (Fresno SJM) is so raw . . . it will take him awhile to adjust to major college/Big 12 hoops . . KSU coaches better be patient

Good thing we have 2 other  ~7 footers already on the roster and them Gip who can beat on him next year to toughen him up.

Anthony Perez, a Ole Miss commit, is ballin' right now. Pumpin' in treys, just threw down nasty slam. 6'9 w/ perimeter skills.

that's the second nice thing I've heard someone say about him. I want more people to say nice things about our recruits.

Considering this site is probably as big a proponent of Kline as anybody, I'll drop this stuff here

TheRecruitScoop Alex Kline
BREAKING: Alex Kline of The Recruit Scoop will be attending Syracuse University next year.

TheRecruitScoop Alex Kline
Along with that, I will have no involvement or affiliation with the Syracuse Basketball program & will continue to run The Recruit Scoop.

Wiggins ranked 4th in JucoJunction's Top 150 for '12.

http://rivals.yahoo.com/jucojunction/basketball/recruiting/rankings/rank-3011?NICK_NAME=Underdog+Wildcat&LEVEL=2&TIME=1325011821&SIG=a5ef0fa273366c4a0cca80f22a092e71

FWIW, he's averaging 16.8 pts, 3.4 rebs, and 1.8 asts while shooting 53% FG's, 74% FT's, and 39% from 3 for a Wabash Valley team that's gone 9-3.

His Rivals profile is now showing an offer from Baylor.

Enjoy him, Ole Miss Rebels

Quote
2. Ole Miss has a gem in Anthony Cortesia

Cortesia, a 6-foot-9 skilled forward from Venezuela, has All-SEC potential. He is a long-range sharp-shooter with length, but he can also work his way into the lane off the dribble. With an overall impressive feel for the game, Cortesia is the type of player who can hold a team together and initiate the offense.

Yes, he does need to get physically stronger and improve defensively, but it is a safe bet that Cortesia will put up big numbers during his Ole Miss career. Through three games, he averaged 15 points and seven assists.

As a mild observer of the recruiting side of things, I have a Q:  Is moose a better recruit, or are we taking him as a favor to MoKan?  I ask because with Upshaw, we will have 3 7'ers on the team and could prob use a 6'-9" ball handler/shooter/slasher more than a 4th 7'er, imo.

Will listen off air.

lol.  who did you have in mind.  Kevin Garnett?  Diaz and Moose might fit this description better.  i'm assuming Moose can shoot since he's European. and Diaz doesn't have the true 7 ft size like JO and has played the 4 this year.

and Moose, like Diaz, is listed at 6'10"

From the thread on this site first discussing him:
Quote
"I think the biggest thing is his versatility," said first-year Lee coach Andrew Papaefthemiou. "He will play one through four for us. He can shoot and pass the basketball and his overall skill set is probably the best the school has ever seen."

Not saying I buy into what his coach sold, but it def establishes an idea of what the kid is.  If he is indeed such a player, again, wouldn't it be better to have someone of that skill set than a fourth guy who plays a 7'er role?(also, College coaches talk about a lot of kids as being 7' are really 6-10" or 6'-11". They lie about height, it's what they do.)
