so, according to FT if you got the crack the case promo and one of the latches on your case was the PC visa then you automatically got those points based on some error in their system.

priority club and their gaggle of promos is one giant mess for them as a whole. they really need to hire someone specifically to clean that program up.

rick daris (or anyone), do you know if you can book AA awards with BA miles with the late booking fee? I booked sdyoungestbro a ticket from Tulsa to Minneapolis yesterday and it appeared that AA had made available pretty much every seat they had at 25k RT with the $85 fee. Could be a solution to Trim's BA miles problem.

EDIT: I guess I can just not be lazy and go make a fake booking and find out

holy crap, not only do they open up all that availability but you don't even have to pay the $85 late booking fee if you use BA for AA. Trim, you may be able to unload them afterall.

Yeah, just checked out of Omaha on routes we fly a lot that are hard to book that far out at 25k RT. Theres a shitload of availability if we fly tommorrow and no $85 fee like there would be if we were booking via AA direct.

yeah, I've only tried stuff a few days out but there's been availability everywhere. I think they open up all available seats at some point (prolly like a week out or so). I plan on messing with it to see how far back it goes.

one problem that could come up is the return flight. if you are taking a long trip or something you may have to book one way and just hope that the return trip availability pops open too.

Got my new SPG AMEX yesterday. Applied for it under the 10K w/a purchase and another 20K after $4500 deal. There's footnotes in the offer about bonus points only going to people who haven't gotten them before. We'll see.

I know you can make charitable donations with miles so you might be on to something, although the miles and taxation thing is a huge can of worms in regards to taxable income etc.
