How do you bro's put 30k on a new credit card in 6 months to get the bonus? I'm around 2k a month in normal spend on my CSR but have a wedding coming up and am looking at new cards and think I can barely make it without doing the long slog of switching over all my regular expenses to this card for 6 months (along with wedding stuff) then cancelling it and switching it all back over to a new card.
Maybe I'm getting old but that just seems like a lot of work. Why cant I just apply for a card, spend like 5K in 3 months and get a ton of points?!?!
Take it to the stud things thread. $24k / year in credit card expenses sounds super low to me unless there’s a bunch of stuff you’re purposely not paying for with a credit card.
I put pretty much everything on my credit cards. Except for my monthly recurring bills, which I sit down and reconcile each month before issuing personal checks and balancing my ledger. Also, my morning coffee (at McDonald's) I pay for in cash so I can tip the cashier boys. All my meals, come to think of it. Major expenses all draw directly from my bank account. I don't even have any credit cards, come to think of it.
