Hyatt card gets you a little status bump, a free night every year, 9x on anything you actually pay for there. No reason not to have it if you go adequate places with hyatts.

Holy moly. So i know i'm late to this, but to my defense, i have always had a bazillion Marriott points so I never had a reason to look at other hotel rewards. I just booked a NY trip at a Hyatt and the same amount of points would have only been like 1 night at a Marriott. I feel like now that I have discovered this, that is going to change immediately. Sorry guys.

Also, the Amex Platinum card has great girth.

Yep, its just a gift I have that makes easy things way harder than they should be.

I called the recon line the next day and they told me they didn't know why and that it was just stuck in review status. I asked why since my score is +800  and I haven't applied for a card in a while and she said to call back in a couple days so it can get processed. Weird, I know, but as you guys know, this weird crap always happens to me.

SW companion pass experts. What happens if the main flight person doesn't show for the flight, but the companion does? Does it really matter since one flight was paid for anyway. Any idea how this works or if its an issue? I'm just prepping for a potential scenario where Mrs SF can't go and I say eff it and go anyway without her ass.

In order for the primary to cancel they have to cancel the companion flight first.

I've gotten very spoiled with companion flights in 2023 going to have to find a pro move to get it back for 2024, maybe that new business card for 80k will work with some "extra" spend on top.

I've been spending a lot on dogsitting to neighbors via venmo. Anyone know a way to use a good points card on venmo without the huge fees?

I've been using my HHonors AMEX and AMEX SEND to put money on my venmo books with no fee but saw recently I get no points for that.

I do not think it's possible. There would be an infinite points churn opportunity if they opened that door.
