I actually called and canceled my sw card and talking on the phone was not nearly as terrible as I was expecting!

Mrs SF really hates doing that too. Just be nice to them and tell them that you don't want the card anymore and you understand that you may be losing the benefits and don't care. 99% of the time they don't give a crap and will just cancel. Every once in a while you will get someone that presses you, but they give up pretty quick if you just repeat yourself. Being nice to them is most of the battle. After doing some cold calling way back when, i'm always as nice as possible to phone people. Their job sucks major ass and being a dick to them just makes their day worse.

Haha. The absolute worst company to deal with ever. I had them for several years and the annual call to them was just the absolute worst. I recently went back with them and had to make the call after my year was up. "I would like the same deal I had before, if you can't do that, please cancel my sub". What about this? No, What about this, No. "I would like the same deal I had before or please cancel". Ok Mr SF, I can do that. Typing, typing, typing, typing.........Ok, Mr SF, this is what I will charge your card on file......"That isn't the same deal I had before". Yes, I can't do that deal. "you said you could and I've been on hold for 30 minutes". Sorry Mr SF, I can only do this deal. OK, please cancel. but....Please cancel, but.....please cancel. Finally get it cancelled, and like a month later I get a letter asking me to return with the same deal I had before. Mrs SF even has the Amex Platinum that will cover most of the cost and I'm still debating on doing it because of how much I will dread having to call and cancel in a year.

The quality sucks. I wouldn't do it for $5 either. I guess if you only listen to talk radio and podcasts it might be worth it.

I use it quite often as the whole house radio option. Can't be beat on a road trip for some variety. I think maybe you can get the dumb down version for $5?

Credit card adjace but I just wanted to report (brag?) that I just finally cleared a couple of identity fraud items off my credit report and my credit score went up 97 points instantly it feels great to have a Very Good credit score again

holy crap. I caved and tried to sign up for this offer. did it with 2 different browsers and kept getting a message saying the site was experiencing technical difficulties. still not calling so I tried chat. i'm 15 minutes in to this at this point. chat dude makes me enter all my info again and then after a bit of back and forth he tells me to clear my browser history and cache. Yeah, I completely agree and i'm not that guy for sure. This was just an instance where I should have known better. I've dealt with them since well before the merger and I should have known it wouldn't be an easy process. There were 3 different ways to sign up on the mailer they sent me and none of them worked!!!!!! Against my better judgement, I engaged chat and lost the hour of my life. The only reason I even did that was because Amex is going to pay for the sub anyway, but it still prob wasn't worth it.
