 :impatient:

Will almost certainly be using these SPG biz points for a week or so at Disney next year, or I just move the 'Meals to an SPG property in a random midwestern city. Does the merger with Marriott open up any Disney options besides Swan/Dolphin? And could I somehow use these to get a SW companion pass via Marriott's point booking + Southwest points thing? Both mine and MrsWonderMeal's CP expires in 2018 and I'm 5/24ed out.

because maybe you can get it in branch until march.

 :)

there was some issue with their system coding the application as in branch and i may have to call in when the bonus posts have them manually change it, but whatever.

applying for card in branch is the stupidest thing in the world, though.  can't understand why they promote it.

it has come time for me to decide on keeping the CSP or CSR (CSP annual fee is coming up).  is the added redemption value on CSR points and extra 1% on restaurants/travel make this a no-brainer to spend the extra $55 and keep the Reserve?

also $300 annual travel credit w/ csr

yeah factored that in which is why i came up with $55 difference instead of $355

Why is Chase sending me their shitty 100K Marriott offer when I am in 5/24 purgatory?

oh yeah. oops.  annual spend on dining/travel would need to be $3,666.67 or greater in order to capture the added $55 in fee.

Aren't there a few travel-related things the reserve gets you towards justifying the $55 - credit towards precheck fees, lounge access, etc.?

Can never remember if these types of questions go here or in the travel thread ...

Trying to get to South Africa on AAdvantage Miles in October.

Only options for Biz/1st that I'm seeing are only on the return trip (which is fine) but are limited to BA BIZ on the JNB>LHR and AA 1st on the ORD>MCI legs of the trip, with Transatlantic AA Economy sandwiched between.

Worth it?

Tried to explore a Qatar Airway #ack but that doesn't seem to be panning out. Any other ideas for workarounds?

Also, to get back to the true spirit of this thread ... I am 5/24ed and just added the 75k Delta AmEx on top of that. Should I go ahead and get the SPG AmEx and extend my 5/24?

Is there a scenario where I should be trying to collect AA points versus just piling up URs to transfer to SW or United?  Seems like the point redemption for AA flights is really high compared to other airlines.  At this point, I have about 55k in AA points.

Going to Cuba next month and our return flight now has a 7-hour layover in FLL due to a schedule change by Southwest. Any chance there's a #1cat out there who would be willing to share two United club passes that they aren't going to use? And could I even use them if I'm not flying UA metal?

Have Amex platinum but not flying Delta, so I can't access that lounge either.

Uber to Bahia Cabana, no more than 15 minutes away. Relax for a few hours, uber back.

is there a different flight you could take?  that much of a schedule change usally will get you some accomodation

hopefully he booked it with his CSR so that bitch can get paid

Chase Sapphire Reserve Card   6 hours   $500 per ticket

airline schedule change probably doesn't qualify but it's worth trying

I don't even have a CSR. Both MrsWonderMeal and I are 5/24ed out for the foreseeable future. :(

I would just change the reservation, but we're leaving the Li'l 'Meals at home and have a complex babysitter/fly-in grandparent schedule worked out for the brood. If anyone can find it in their heart to share some near-expired United passes, I will give my entire stash of RowdyyBoyyBucks.

Leaving the airport is definitely my preferred option (Bahia Cabana!), but I've read some things saying that's not recommended when returning from Cuba because it will raise red flags with TSA or whoever. Anyone know if that's just a bunch of malarkey?
