How Many Credit Cards Do You Have?

Alaska Air has a similar set up to the US Air card. You don't even have to make one purchase and it's very churnable. You're paying the fee but people have reported the miles hitting their account before the card even arrives. Others have reported having 3 or 4 of the card accounts open at the same time. the pud banks fly fast and loose. also, alaska miles are huge sluts. can use them on aa or delta. they aren't a member of an alliance so they have a lot of weird agreements with carriers. they always have route wars with delta so it's a weird arrangement.

they don't transfer. you have to use them on those carriers. primary downside (since they aren't in an alliance) is that you can't use them on a flight with two different carriers (unless alaska is one of them). so no AA to get me to LA and then Qantas to get me to Sydney on the same award ticket like you could on a one world booking. for domestics it's great though.

I didn't phrase that question right. What I meant to ask is how easy is it to book a Delta flight with Alaska miles/points, but you answered the question with that link.

Omaha didn't have Alaska service for a long time so I never really paid attention to their miles. Once we got Alaska service I looked into it and was like, "holy crap, I should have been churning this card for years".

uggh. yeah probably. i haven't dipped my foot into the card game in like 8 months though. some kind of UR card and then transfer is the best option i'm guessing?

sure, or get the BA card again. or a MR card, they transfer. tons of options really.

Hit the BA Chase 100k bonus twice.  Have really loved that card hard.  Constantly fly myself and family from MHK/MCI to DFW and back all the time, and they never seem to go away.

Staying at Le Méridien Delfina Santa Monica over the weekend in LA on SPG points.  Would rather spend my SPG points transferring 20k > 25k but whatevs.   I almost don't have enough vacay days a year to spend all the miles I've got from this thread.  Good problem to have I guess.   

Only travel domestically though, so far.   Ready to throw down some miles to get across the pond or down under or something.
