Anyone do the club Carlson card?

I'm planning on doing it later this year

They usually do a big points bonus at their hotels once a year - Basically you get enough bonus points to stay at any Club Carlson property for staying at any club carlson property.  You can book a stay at some $80 POS and get the points to stay at $300 resort or whatever.  Was planning on going for it whenever it started up.

I saw everyone is getting the 10k match though and one person seems to have gotten matched from the 50k offer, so it might be worth a shot to sign up for the 50k and ask.

actually, planning a fall trip to chicago now and may sign up for the card for the two free nights here after one use plus gold status.

Man, those SPG points are the best. Booked two round trip to for our Ireland trip for 40k pts and a small number of AA miles. First it's the 20=25 when you go to an airline so 40 turns into 50. Then there's another bonus AA is running for a 20% bonus when transferring from SPG. So 40=60. Then you get 10% back when you redeem so there's an extra 8. 40,000 spg was 68k AA.
2.7 cent redemption on the AA miles. Around 4 cents for those SPG.

i was going to post earlier that i didnt feel that the value of spg points were appropriately stressed in here. i was able to book AA flights that were blacked out (or sold out or whatever) with AA pts.

The only disneyworld hotel you can book on points is a SPG property. It's only 10k a night as well. Pretty amazing deal. Getting 3 CPM doing this.

EDIT: actually more than that with 5th night free.

Oh. I tried to book a flight on AAdv and it only had the top point value thing still available (like 55k a seat) and then I booked the same flight for 15k spg.
