I use my cancelled CSP as a bookmark.

The only downside is that they are impossible to shred/destroy.  A bunch of people leave their cards where I manage and every so often I shred old ones that have not been claimed.

Usually they just comment on how heavy it is, but the other day, the kid working the register said my CSP card was awesome.

Didn't Southwest used to have a constant point to dollar value? Now all the fares of the same type are the same point cost even when the dollar cost is not the same.

flights with slightly different cash fares will often have the same point redemptions. I'm guessing points are ignoring airport fees or something similar causing the fare difference, so a direct flight from MCI to OAK may cost a little less than one with a stop in Vegas paying cash but require the same amount of points.

You have to call in to cancel, don't you? I don't have the card on hand, since I'm still in the hospital. What information is necessary?

you can usually cancel via secure message on the site.

there are no chase branches in NE. they supposedly have 70k UR Chase Ink offers laying around at the physical locations. if someone happens to pop into a Chase bank and grab me one we would be best friends.
