Well that was the initial thought on Marriott but if the value is going way down soon it wouldn't make as much sense right?

well you said 3 out of 20 nights were Marriott and I just assumed the other 17 were with someone else.

some of them have special concierge lounges or something.

But I would recommend finding the most expensive one within your company's budget and maximizing points if that's an option.

do you have top level hotel status somewhere pud like Marriott or PC? You could do the Diamond challenge at Hyatt and get Diamond status for a year and a half. Hyatt Diamond is 25 eligible stays but if you have top tier somewhere you can call them and "challenge" their status and then after like 10 nights within 2 months you get Diamond.

the only better options are spg and hyatt. hilton, pc and marriott are all ground pesos at this point. but, they have the majority of properties so you are prolly stuck unless you can pick your own.

true story: during hurricane Ike all the hotels in Houston were booked solid so my company booked a bunch of people in the JW Marriott for like two months at like 300/nt because it was the only choice they had. those folks are still plat just because of that one hotel.

of course once you get status it's way easier to keep status because of the multipliers.

When I moved the company put me in a Residence Inn for 30 days which let me keep some status but sucked because Residence inns are like .75 points/dollar or something idiotic.
