The way I see it right now we are a 3-seed.  And we can play our way out of that to a 4 (or worse) with 3 (or more) losses (before KC) and we can play our way into a 2 seed it with only 1 loss and a win in KC.

2 more losses in conference, 1 or 0 conf tourney win = 3 seed
3 more losses in conference, 1 conf tourney win = 3 seed
3 more losses in conference, 0 conf tourney win = 4 seed
anything more than 3 losses the rest of the way in conference and just pray for a 5 seed.

agreed, but as tardish as this sounds, the possibility for a one seed is there. win out minus ku and win the conf tourney, which is somewhat realistic, and we're a one.
