Probably, but UNLV and FL will tell us a lot more. 3 top 50 kenpom wins is still nice though.

Have to agree.  I'm getting kind of tired from telling myself that the last four games have been the/our Fort Hays St. game.
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

I still feel this year's team is ahead of last year's defensively. Offensively they're still a work in progress. Not having Denis' instant offense hurts, they're trying to figure out a consistent rotation, Pullen's showing his liabilities as a point combo.  On the plus side, we don't have the vortex of offensive suck consisting of Colon, Sutton, and Merriweather. At least this year's Energy can actually hit jump shots (including 3 pointers) when he's in the game.

It appears our upside for this year will depend on Spradling/Irving's ability to take over more of the point responsibilities as the year progresses and whether an offensive rotation gets established that "clicks." Still think the upside for this year's team is higher, because at any given time there's more overall talent on the floor.

Last year we had the sane record with an L to Ole Miss. This year our L is to Duke. Big difference

Still think we'll know plenty more right after the holiday break on what this team will be.  Martin & company have always made plenty of hay with the relaxed practice restrictions around this time.  Would be surprised if this year was any different.
