Not necessarily.  Got to get the PG/SG thing figured out; would be nice if Sprads and/or Irving can take over PG most of the time.  We were much less TO prone when Sprads was at PG tonight, but I don't know if we were better.

crap lets hope Daniel Thomas is 6th in the country in rushing yards and 8th in rushing TD's, this with Snydes Boobying DT near the goal line 3 times against UNT.

His defense was solid tonight, but way too careless with the ball on offense and in transition.

I think Sprads can grow into the PG better then Jake taking on that responsibility.  Jake is trying to do too much.

oddly though, both have some serious rough ridin' ball control issues (jake & Daniel)

imo, frank is trying to bring someone along in the non-con to run the point-combo, so jake can slide over (at least I hope that's what frank is trying to do - jake's TOpg are similar to when he was a freshman).  at this point that someone looks like sprads.  russell should probably not sign any long term leases on apartments in manhattan.

jake needs to do a better job of picking when he attacks the rim, especially from the top of the key.  when the guard at the top of the key gets his shot blocked at the rim it almost always leads to a fast break for the opposing team.  that happened at least twice tonight and has happened several other times this year.

i do to.  he looks like the only guard (including pullen) who has a skill set to get his own shot, unfortunately he usually turns it over before that happens.  i wish nick the best of luck at Iowa or SMU or wherever he ends up.

Jake is fine BTW.  He has to adjust to life without 21, he played beside him for 2 years, he's had 8 games against very good competition to adjust to the change.  Frank franking with the line-up is not helping the guards adjust to these roles.  They will have it figured out when it needs to be in February and March.  Went through the same thing last year with the bigs.

early in the game, against the zone with pullen 30 feet from the hoop passively reversing the ball between the wings while timidly peering at the high post made me want to cry.  i don't care what you call him, he's one of the best 3 pt shooters in college bball and you're playing a relatively passive zone.  any dumbfuck can reverse the ball.

does jake think he's good enough to just turn it on or something?  he's like a driver's ed teacher.  like he's just sitting back and directing but has his own set of brakes if things go bad or something.  it's weird.  i mean, sure, you want to get others involved or whatever, but jfc, shoot the 3ball, bro.

jake is having a senior year much like sherron collins. only he doesn't have the excuse of being a fat ass.
great point y-l_a, you neglected to mention how he does shine at the end of games.  :ksu:

Is Irving just not suited to play at the point?  Frank has kept him off ball pretty much all season.
