• I learned that national player of the year is even more wide open this season than it was in 2009-10. Again, there is not a truly dominant player. The early candidates are Walker, Duke's Kyle Singler and Kansas' Marcus Morris. Walker has been the best player to this point in the season. But it is still really, really early.• I learned that Morris is one of the most improved players in the country, but he may not be the most improved player in his own family. Marcus is really versatile and can play anywhere on the floor for Bill Self. But, Markieff Morris has become an impact player who is the better rebounder than his twin brother. And Markieff can step away and hit a trail 3. Both of those guys are pros.
in the end, EMAW will always win.
