Patterson was the DC at TCU before taking the HC job.  Before that, he was the DC at New Mexico.  Do you want a cooridinator from a school like UNM as our next HC?  I'd be willing to bet a dude like Malzahn ain't going to take a HC spot at a school avg'ing that kind of attendance.
