Another summary:

Pot's mom is really trying to prove to us that despite the lack of talent he is an intelligent human being and runs well

First marathon.  My currently longest run is about 12 miles ran at an 8:30 pace.    I'm just hoping to finish it as a personal accomplishment and to prove to myself I can do anything I set my mind to.  It sounds cheesy but that's the main reason.

The announcer didn't know his name at Madness in Manhattan so everybody cracked up and started chanting his jersey number.  That coupled with the fact that the fan base knows that he is by far the worst player on our team allows him to be the fan favorite.

Same reason I was the fan favorite when I played in high school.  I was by far the worst player on the team (played on Pota's team) and to see me score was a very rare thing.  I got less minutes than Alex did and rightly so.  When I scored my first points, it was a very big deal to the crowd and to my team.  They were jumping up and going crazy.

i admit, i got a little misty-eyed watching the bench react. It was such a fun moment.
