Can someone more itk tell me what type of player Edwards is supposed to be? Was he doing most of his scoring at Maine as a shooter or of the dribble, or a combo?

IMO having someone else who can consistently hit his open looks is probably the 2nd biggest need of this team besides interior size.
From what I hear, he's a Marcus Foster type. Can shoot and drive and is electric at the rim.

Whomever said he could shoot has absolutely never watched him play in a game
Have you seen him MIR? Can you give a breakdown?

Great athlete, high motor. Decent with the ball in his hands getting to the rim, not so much a creator. I at one time compared him to Lance Harris but that isn't fair because Lance was a much better shooter. I suppose he could develop into a better shooter but that is pretty rare. I'm not sure that K-State has had a player like him in the last 15 years. I will be interested to see how he will be as a defender, he has the physical tools but the Big 12 isn't the America East.

Not as strong as either actually not strong at all. He plays above the rim, but he should have an easier time getting to the rim in a half court set than Dom. Edwards won't break down anyone with his dribble but should be able to shoot gaps at times.

That's good info, I haven't seen anything except highlights.

It will be interesting what a year off, S&C, and practicing against/with higher level players will do for his game.

Well that would clear a lot up. Everyone I've talked to outside of MIR has said Edwards is a very, very nice dude.

Are you saying you don't know what it means or why that particular descriptor is used? It means someone who can essentially play higher than most defenders, can dunk in traffic.

sounds like Darren Hancock

YES! Thank you. He was at GCCC when I was at GCHS.

For the 10,000,000 and hopefully last time it was not Bolden it was Edwards. Bolden was there but didn't say a word, it was Edwards and Shane acting like idiots. I don't know if he was drunk, like seemingly everyone else there but me, or trying too hard to fit in because he had been in Manhattan for like 48 hours, or if he's just a crap head I don't know or particularly care. It's frowned upon to loudly interrupt the conversation of people you don't know and then repeatedly shout "my nigga" while laughing like a moron.

Let's start using that search function so we don't have to rehash this every time we talk about Edwards. I like basketball.

Pretty sure it was Bolden that MIR had a problem with, could be wrong though.

Yeah, the whole time he was describing Edwards' actions I kept thinking "this is classic Bolden." No doubt about it.

Suppose that the words were coming out of Edwards' mouth, but under the direction of Bolden who was feeding lines to him via radio transmitter.  Who said it?  Edwards?  Bolden?  Now, suppose the lines Bolden was feeding to Edwards were actually written by Edwards while oscar held a gun to his head, telling him what to write.  Who said it in this case?

K-State has given some serious attention to JUCO F Willie Atwood (6-8) he is a physical forward that has put up some serious numbers.

From Jan 10
Quote
@JucoRecruiting: Willie Atwood (6-8/F/2014) of Connors State finished with 29pts/11reb yesterday in a win. Had Wichita State, SMU and Kansas St in to see him

I wouldn't be surprise if this ends up being a 5 person class. If the staff believes Atwood is better then DJamer, I could see DJamer moving on as our roster passes his talent level. Also, think it is safe to assume Jack Krap is gone. The 5th scholarship needs to go to the most talented transfer we can find, hopefully an immediately eligible senior.

I like this plan, a lot. I like DJamer as a person I have had the pleasure of hanging out with him on a few occasions because he lived next door to my brother in Haymaker last year, but if we can get another big who has more quality than him I think it would be time for him to leave and transfer to SLU or Missouri State. Krap better be gone, that was just a mistake bringing him in.
