Like, Gio was probably a bad 2nd basemen, but Getz is a confirmed bad 2nd basemen.

well, if they don't bring getz up, all they have at 2nd are johnson and tejada.  so you can see why they couldn't afford to take the risk with gio.

Not even close, who's the guy who threw away the future for a season of almost mediocrity?  Who made Jeff Francouer and Chris Getz(Two worst players in the MLB, honestly) regulars on this team?  Who has taken SEVEN YEARS to build a roster yet STILL we are a below average team AT BEST?  Who traded for Wade Davi(e)s and an aging #2 starter and still has managed to fail?  All of these questions have one answer.

I mean, I'm fine with firing Dayton too. But just because Dayton sucks doesnt mean Ned is or could ever be a good managrer. Just because Getz and Francoeur were on the team doesn't mean Ned had to make them regulars for as long as he did... or that Alcides had to bat 2nd every game...

Having a legitimate MLB manager gets this team a few games above .500 for the season, so I'll take that even if I can't have an adequate GM.

My point is, even if Ned is a bad manager, this is still not a .500 roster, I'd love to see a manager who could win with Jeff Francouer and Chris Getz as starters for even part of a season.  He is NOT the problem, he is merely a problem.   Dayton is THE problem.

He does well for a couple of games every time he comes up from the minors. Then he craters and goes back down. Here's hoping he does better this time, but I'm not terribly optimistic. After all, these are Glass' Royals.

I don't understand baseball to a degree that I could expect to reasonably participate in the in-game subtleties of this conversation, and thus I also don't understand this thread and all of the references to numbers and body parts and all that gobbledygook.
What I do understand is that, besides the KSU/KU rivalry in sports (as noted by the OW pics and mention), is that there is now a celebrity rivalry: Jason Sudeikis/Olivia Wilde (humminah Humminah HUMminah HUMMinah...BONER!) versus Eric Stonestreet/Sofia Vergara (humminah Humminah HUMminah HUMMinah...BONER!).
Whom do you think is better to have as a fan of area sports; Jason Sudeikis/Olivia Wilde, who barely show their faces around the KU/KC area unless it's the NCAA Tournament, or Eric Stonestreet/Sofia Vergara, who blessedly/thankfully/most-coolly uses his/her wily and feminine charms to, with much more cleavage (and class, in that respect) to rep our school year-round?
I don't know if this is a draw; Sudeikis has been in movies and SNL (is he really a KU grad, or just a bandwagon KC/KU fan?).
And also, I'd like to see a fight between Wilde and Vergara, I'll bet, from personal experience dating Latina women, that Vergara would destroy Wilde (though I have no personal grudge against OW, except that she has the unfortunate obligation of becoming a KU fan by default). My poor father (who went to KSU) was reduced to being a KU non-opinionator after he married my mother (a KU grad), but only after I (who grew up listening to KU basketball with no bias) decided to go to KSU did learned the meaning of true rivalry.
They both have House Divided plates, and have learned to get along...but I still haven't figured out how to shut my stupid mouth, even when I go out with girls who are KU grads....it just slips out. But I digress. Maybe I need to get a more self-oriented and confident identity. Maybe I just need to drink more...or less...orh mayeb to Ku kuds jsut need to use sggrasshoppers to brusht my theetnh and layie down on the rugg isn ths tthing where the squirrels aressts ifthting?/////....
