This sounds exactly like K-State football back in the 80's, one stupid symbolic move after another.

Seitzer coming up on 810... Might be some gems mixed in here.

I mean, JFC, guys, you don't get to the majors if you can't hit a baseball. The hitting coach is just there for psychological reinforcement more than anything. And who better to psychologically reinforce than George rough ridin' Brett? He's going to have those guys batting .300 in no time. It's great.

Maybe we should turn this into a questions for steve dave to relay to George Brett about Royals practice thread. I would like to know if Billy Butler eats at practice when he's not taking BP. I would also like to know who the most mentally weak player on the team is. Who is the biggest ladies man? Do the players hate Frenchy as much as the fans, or are the tv guys telling the truth when they say the young guys love him? Does Shields talk crap on the other players? Inquiring minds want to know.

Is Frenchy the one who can't close his lips together and looks like he is always smiling?? I mean, JFC, just close your lips together for once......that just irritates the crap out of me

A good friend of mine did that all through high school, all you saw all the time was his teeth.....well, growing up in Topeka, there was a show for kids that came on on Saturday mornings called Whizzo the Clown....the main sentence to the song was "who's that guy that's always smiling?....it's Whizzo".  So this buddy of mine had the nickname of "Whizzo" all through high school.......

Everytime I look at Frenchy (Franchore?), I just laugh and think of Whizzo the clown

Fran-core, it's French for "open heart", which I believe means he would've had more success as a heart surgeon instead of being a baseball player.

I'd say there's more to Brett serving as hitting coach than just that. I suspect he's also been assigned to get a feel for the team, the chemistry, the clubhouse, etc., and report back to Moore. The added upside is that I think he'll be a great presence in the dugout and the clubhouse--he'll be the one proven winner there. Can't help but do some good.

This is an extremely positive development for the Kansas City Royals.

Interim Hitting Coach is a code word for George Brett's real role. This role involves George Brett seeing what the hell is going on inside of that clubhouse and identifying who should be let go and who should be kept. Ned Yost is halfway out the door whether he knows it or not and Brett is getting ready for a possible Interim Head Coaching position or special assistant to whoever is brought in to replace Ned. I believe that he is identifying staff that could be kept like Eiland and possibly seeing if there is a potential manger already in the clubhouse.

This also means that Ownership is sick of this crap and Dayton knows that he needs to win more now and his clock is ticking. At least management realizes large changes have to occur even if they are not sure which direction they are going.

I am still hopeful that Seitzer could be brought back as hitting coach in a few weeks after Ned is let go.

The Royals are getting back on track and hopefully George will have some say in our batting order and starting lineup.

Just back from Bulls game.
Wil Myers- WOOF! Good lord, he looks awful at the plate. "Are you trying to tell me Jesus Christ can't hit a curve ball?" "No, I am just saying Wil Myers can't."
Odorizzi did not throw, so I have no comments on him.
