If the Royals gave up all that for one or two years of Shields I'm gonna be pissed.

It was an awful trade. Shields is at his peak right now, and even if they manage to re-sign him after his contract runs out, they are going to be overpaying for a declining pitcher. Meanwhile, Wil Myers will be an emerging superstar while all of the Royals fans are talking about how great 2013 and 2014 were when they almost made the playoffs.

Completely agree, most people don't realize the pitching was better than the hitting last year. We traded away the #1 power hitting prospect in baseball that plays the position that we desperately needed an upgrade in. I think Wil Myers playing everyday in Right Field over Francouer might be worth more than James Shields.

It's called an observation. Year after year they think they might actually compete in the AL Central and it never happens. Their management continues to make terrible trades/signings/decisions. Like I said, it must suck being a royals fan

Collins is playing for Team USA in the WBC, which starts 3/2. That's got to be quote an honor for him.

I don't care what anyone says, Kauffman is one of the best parks in the MLB. DNGAF if it is downtown. Just LOOK at it!

"One of the best" that I've personally been to:

1) Wrigley
2) Petco
3) Detroit
4) Atlanta
5) KC

Other stadiums I would think would be better than KC:

1) Fenway
2) Yankee Stadium
3) Seattle

I've always thought Camden Yards looks very nice, but I've never been to confirm.

Detroit's is great. Was there when Comerica was fairly new and saw what was at the time I think the shortest game on record. Detroit 1, KC 0

Can confirm that Fenway is very cool to go to, simply because of the "history" and the Green Monster being the unique ballpark feature that it is...but other than that the place is a dump.  Much like Allen Fieldhouse.

Never been to any of your 2-4, but I do love me some Kauffman.  Also Coors Field is pretty sweet.

st louis is pretty darn nice. so is the field in arlington. kauffman is fine i guess but there isn't anything interesting or unique or standoutish about it. it's just fine. it's just there with a big p lot and unoffensive in everyway.

Arlington is definitely underrated.  The grandstands in right field are
