I think he's a solid 2nd baseman. Alex "0-17" Gordon is really starting to wear thin on me, though.

Did you see Chris ruin Hosmers highlight play? It did not make me happy. Alex got a hit earlier today, a walk, and a diving catch.

I haven't seen any of today's game. Good for Alex, if he is playing well. He was 0-17 with 2 walks heading into the game.

Ugh, this whole season has been like bizarro-world. Great starting pitching every day, hit and miss offense, take series from AL favorite Angels, get beat in dramatic fashion by lowly A's. After all that the season is just under 4% complete.

I don't like the Hudler hire. I think it was a poorly vetted decision and it seemed rushed. I get the feeling that Rex thinks I'm an idiot about baseball. I think Frank did a much better job last year. Wow, this is getting weird. #firerexhudler.

Hudler reminds me of the guys who do national games. He makes (what he thinks are) witty anecdotes, and explains things that a very casual baseball fan might not be aware of. It just isn't the right style for a guy who announces for the team's home network 140 games a year. People that watch Royals broadcasts know the game, they don't need to be taught, and they don't need the fluff.

That might be the most embarrassing Royals half inning I've ever witnessed considering the situation... and I've witnessed A LOT of embarrassing Royals innings.

Why did Dyson start this game? I understand he's fast but he's not ready for the pros. If I was Meier or Bourgeois and got passed up for Dyson to start the home opener one day after Cain goes down I'd be wondering what the eff I'm doing on the team? Either one of them would have been a better option for the home opener.

Dyson had been hitting really well in the minors and you know how much they value speed. Not justifying it, just telling you why he was up.

I thought about springing for the At Bat app the other day.

I'm holding off. The Royals shouldn't be breaking me this early.
