Clearly you know very little about the Royals and likely baseball in general. They have an insane amount of talent coming through. And the nice thing is that most of these kids have played together for several years. Sure beats teams like the White Sox going out and buying dudes like Adam Dunn in futile attempts to compete.

So, Perez is a badass. Wonder if we can get anything for Pena? I'd bet Traenor would be cool with being a back-up next season but Pena is still pretty young and may want a chance to start somewhere...

Idiotic statement. Dunn had probably been the most consistent power hitter in MLB, he was a free agent. He had been playing in a terrible hitter's park and was moving to a great hitter's park. The NL/AL and DH factors have clearly played a role, but many projections had him hitting 45+ HR. He has had a historically bad year, almost no one anticipated that.

The dude has also led the league in K's like every damn year. I'd rather have Butler.

The Tigers, White Sox, and Twins all have depleted farm systems, while the Royals keep calling up dudes like Giavotella and Perez. There are lots of reasons why so many people are high on the Royal's near future.

Yeah, paying a lifetime .245, 160 K's/yr guy 12 million bucks a season seems like a much better idea than building what USA Today called the best farm system they have ever covered. You sir, are Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

I think what he meant by bringing up the Adam Dunn signing is that bringing in a group of extremely talented 21-24 year old kids (who have all played together) is a better strategy than having a group of aging vets and then signing a hit or miss free agent.
