I was really surprised how easy and cheap opening day tickets were compared to previous years.  Maybe because it was on a Thursday afternoon  :ck:

I have faith the fans will show up.  I'm really not sure you can blame them at this point with our past 16 years and most of the pre-season power rankings having us as one of the worst 3 teams.  Not having a star player or even a real fan favorite is probably hurting too.

I did hear Dayton was surprised they didn't get any extra fans for the futures game and wasn't sure if it would be back next year.

He was just chillaxing in the dugout like he knew what was about to happen.  Really felt like one of those early season Frank moments where he's teaching someone a lesson.  Usually I know what that lesson is though   :ck:

yeah, i dunno. He had to have known his shoulder was F'd.

Hopefully some time off will get Tejada healthy and get some velocity back.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

  those of us who remember 2009 and 2003 look for signs of trouble.  Davies, Soria, Kila, are all worrisome to me.  Enjoy the wins?  Hell yeah.  But understand what a long season it is, no 14 game stretch makes or breaks a team.

Kila is terrible and will be jobless soon.  At some point people are going to stop thinking someone that has been in the minors for 15 years is all of the sudden good because he finally learned how to hit minor league pitching.  Good dude, glad he got a shot, but he is nothing more than a late defensive replacement at best.

Really wondering whether Hosmer may get a shot this summer like Moustakes.  I'm not sure how many people here understand the Super-2 rule, but if we're planning on bringing him up opening day 2012, he'll be eligible for arbitration at the same time as if we brought him up around June since I doubt he'll be sent down to the minors again once he's called up.  So far he's hitting really well this season and would be a defensive upgrade at 1st over both Butler or Kila.
