Whit is so damn clutch late in games.
Innings 7-9, he has 16 RBI in 75 ABs. An impressive .917 OPS
Several of those RBIs gave us the lead too.

This wasn't a great weekend series for us. The good news is Clev went 0-3 and Minn went 1-2.

I tend to agree. Acquiring a starter (to be our #4 starter) would be my first wish. That making Hammel the #5 guy.

Of course getting a bullpen arm or a hitter are upgrades we could always use too. The Moss/Soler DH platoon still isn't being productive.

Vargy could be in the midst of a bad stretch. 15 of his first 16 starts were solid, good or great. So it won't be shocking if a few rough starts get lumped in here.

However, if the 12 days where he threw only 10 pitches is a factor in his lack of command tonight, then it is frustrating.

Bigger picture and more important .... I just hope we don't see Vargy falling way out of his groove, and he posts a 5.00+ ERA the 2nd half.
