Soria had his worst season by far last year and he should be much better in 2017. Young is just done because he's 47 years old.

Young is the "emergency long guy and maybe come in for an inning if we have a big lead/deficit guy" correct?

Yeah. Also the guy who picks up the occasional start due to injury.

If Young didn't get that contract after the world series, he wouldn't be on a team right now. Soria still has a couple of years left I imagine tho. Just had one really bad year.

I think Soria will be better this year too. Relief pitchers are weird.

Soria will have a bounce back year, and I don't think Luke has signed anywhere, has he? I would give him an incentive heavy 2yr contract personally.

No, he hasn't signed anywhere. The most recent news I read was from some Yankees blog saying they should sign him, but that's it.

This will probably be his main role. He also could come into a game if our starter wasn't effective and its higher scoring....say 5-5 game and he comes on to pitch in the 5th or 6th inning.  I'm not sure how effective he will be out of the Pen this year, but he wasn't bad in relief last year until the final 5 weeks.
His first 14 relief appearances, he had a 1.88 ERA in 24.0 Innings and didn't allow a HR.  His last 7 relief appearances, he gave up 10 runs and 2 HRs. It was his starts that looked like Home Run Derby (26 HR in 56.0 Innings)

Wood was just filthy good last year vs lefties (.128 Ave .447 OPS) and was very good in 2015 vs everyone as a reliever (.207 Ave .577 OPS).  I can see him coming in to only face 2-3 hitters sometimes and someone who could be used in the 7th/8th at times as Strahm/Soria won't be available every game

Moylan is the righty specialist. Only allowed a .218 Ave and .542 OPS vs righties last year.

Not sure what to expect from Minor.  His career numbers, his OPS allowed is almost the exact same vs lefties & righties. Lefties actually have a better batting Ave.

58 AL pitchers had 120+ innings last year. That averages out to about 4 per team.
Duffy was 15th on ERA, 3.51 and Kennedy was 17th, 3.68.
Hammel ERA the last 3 years as a starter was 3.70
