Chris young pitched 6 scoreless innings and struck out 9 in his only post season performance.  It was on the road and against the eventual WS champ.

I mean I guess you could roll out morales and his lifetime 7.71 post season ERA.

We were only a month into the Ron Prince Era when that game was played.

Chris Young gives up home runs. A lot. the teams we will play hit homeruns. A lot. Bad formula.

Franklin Morales has given up 1 homerun in 54 innings. That is a GOOD formula.

I put about 10X's as much stock in performance in 2015 as I do past post-season performance, especially when stats were compiled years ago

you're being ridiculous, c43.  young is a much better pitcher than morales.

One could make a case pretty easily that only Wade Davis is having a better year than Franklin Morales for our relievers.

Wow.  I had no idea his HR9 was that good.  It's even better than wade.

Kris Medlen has given up 3 home runs in 25 innings, and I still want him in the rotation.

Morales is 2nd on the team in WHIP, FIP, 3rd in ERA, and 1st in HR/9. His last 7 appearances he has given up 1 hit, no walks, in 8 2/3 innings

so do I. I have confidence in Medlen to avoid walks and get strikeouts. If he becomes a G4 starter in the playoffs, he'll have a super short leash anyway.

i don't know if you could argue that or not, but i do know that you can argue (correctly) that this season is the first season of a nine year career where morales wasn't bad at pitching.
